At our Burlington dental clinic, we specialize in various methods of anxiety management, including sedation dentistry, so that our patients can comfortably receive the dental treatment they need.
Dental Phobia is very common. Over 60% of the adult Canadian population requires some form of medication to help cope with dental treatment. The goal of anaesthesia is to provide the comfort you need to get your work done. Patients with special needs or unable to tolerate being sedated may choose sleep dentistry.

Endodontics, otherwise known as root canal therapy, is performed when the inner wall of the tooth has become infected or damaged. Infection can occur for a number of reasons, such as a crack or chip on the tooth, internal or deep decay, or even an issue with a crown. Dr. Toong has seen many cases where the outside of a tooth looks healthy, but inside, the damage is visible.
Periodontal (gum) disease not only poses a threat to one's oral health, but can be painful, as well. How you care for your teeth and gums everyday makes a big difference. If you already suffer from gum disease, regular care can prevent things from getting worse. The mouth is full of bacteria that constantly form plaque. Regular brushing and flossing will help to get rid of this plaque.

My long time dentist recommended these guys and he was right. With my disabilities and difficulties I am always challenged but the qualifications of Doc are well earned as he and his staff had me at ease throughout the entire experience. Didn't even need an Advil afterwards and First Class all the way.

Dr. Sam Toong is fabulous. We have two autistic kids and his ability to manage that chaos and get his job done was phenomenal. His throughput on explaining safety procedures and treatment services was top shelf. This dentist is my far the best.
He did some work on my daighter maybe 7 yrs ago and our new dentist says who ever did the work is a great dentist. Ever since she had the work done she hasn't had another cavity- shes now 11.
I now have a new baby and she needs some work. I couldn't remeber who did my older daughter and ended up seeing someone else I won't mention any names. I left their feeling uncomfortable and just wanting to find the dr who did my older daughter teeth and I did! Thankfully!
Today was my consult and he was absolutely amazing! So full of detail and options which the other dentist

Dr. Toong is the best dentist around. After having bad experiences with previous dentist, he is extremely nice and caring. He takes care while filling teeth since I’m very sensitive to the pain. I will always book appointments with him even if I live far away. He is extremely trustworthy! It’s always a bonus if you need sedation for dental work and he can provide that. His staff are also very friendly and professional! Thanks for being the best dentist 😁

Dr. Toong and his staff are fabulous. Each time we visit the office, we are warmly welcomed and feel immediately at ease. The interest and care that Dr. Toong demonstrates towards his patients (and their families) is clearly evident. He is very personable and patient and takes the time to ensure that everyone is comfortable with each step. We have been absolutely pleased and highly recommend Asleep for Dentistry.

I was extremely nervous to have my 5 year old son receive general anesthesia for a dental procedure. However, the team at Asleep Dentistry (Kelly, Christina and Dr. Toong) were all incredible and my anxiety quickly disappeared. My son was treated exceptionally and Dr. Toong was knowledgeable and him and Christina took the time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. I highly recommend this office.

As a support worker, I have accompanied many people to many different dental offices. Without a doubt, Asleep for Dentistry is the best I have been to. The wonderful individuals I support feel secure not just because of the sedation procedures available, but because of the warm welcomes, and friendly atmosphere. I am highly recommending Asleeep for Dentistry Clinic! I have taken my daughter on multiple occasions to see Dr Toong from the age of 4. After many visits to other dentists this was define telly a place where my daughter has felt comfortable for the first time.
