AJ Petterson & Associates Inc. is a group of professional clinical counsellors providing therapeutic services to individuals, couples and families in and around Vancouver. Abby Petterson holds a Masters of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology. She is both a Registered Clinical Counsellor (BCACC - RCC #2344) and a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCPA - CCC #9195).

Abby is also a trained Collaborative Divorce Coach and Child Specialist. Mario Testani holds a Masters degree in Clinical Counselling and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor. Mario specializes in working with couples. He also conducts workshops for couples and anger management.
Services
Abby has comprehensive experience and specialized training in the treatment of Eating Disorders, Separation and Divorce Counselling, Collaborative Divorce and Family Mediation. Abby also provides Interdisciplinary Collaborative Divorce Training with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) and presents in the Lower Mainland on Divorce and Eating Disorders.
Candice has been an elementary school teacher for over ten years and has extensive experience teaching, coaching, and counselling children of all ages. She is passionate about helping children manage their social and emotional needs, building self-confidence, and supporting children with anxiety and depression.

A Divorce Coach can assist in exploring and understanding the emotions as you move through the divorce process, help establish new boundaries and develop goals.
Collaborative Divorce, also referred to as Collaborative Law, is a client centered process for settling issues related to separation and divorce. Clients work with specially trained lawyers, divorce coaches and other professionals to find solutions for both parties without going to court.

While you and your partner are in the collaborative process, everyone (you and your partner, both lawyers and divorce coaches, and any other professionals involved) enter into a written agreement called a "Participation Agreement".
