It took a while to find him after the hairdressers I had been to before moved out of the country I was left in a bind as it is hard to find a good hairdresser these days. With a career spanning more than 20 years, Toby completed his hairdressing education in South Africa in 1997, finishing as top student of the year. Toby's first salon experience was working for the biggest salon chain in South Africa, which employed over 2000 staff, where he became the top stylist for the group.
To complement your hair, we also have our own-brand hair care range, exclusive to Hairspace. Established in 2015, each product in the Hairspace range is made to order in the UK using the highest quality ingredients. The collection is carefully formulated and extensively tested so we're confident that every product is bottled to the highest standards.

Had the best experience with Toby at Hairspace! For my colour he instinctively knew what I was after despite me struggling to verbalise it- if you’re a blonde I wouldn’t go anywhere else! The time Toby spends in consulting you and talking you through the whole process made me feel very calm and confident with my hair in his hands. I have very thick/unruly hair and the cut is fabulous. I can’t thank Toby enough!

Toby cut, washed, blow dried and styled my hair. He made me feel comfortable, making conversation.
Was really please with my cut. Will definitely be using Toby more often.
Highly recommend also if you need advice with any products, styling , cuts etc. I asked advice on how to style my hair as it falls flat and he recommended a product that works great.

The shop was completely refurbished in the summer of 2015 and it is amazing. However, what hasn't changed is the excellent service and top quality technical work for all of the stylists at Hairspace. Its a refreshing change to find a salon that is independent (and not part of one of the big chains), but has the feel and quality of any top west-end establishment. Onwards and upwards, Hairspace team!

A la Toby! The salon has been refurbished and it looks lovely! And I cannot stress enough how glad I am that this place was recommended by an acquaintance of mine and I have no hesitation in recommending Toby to everyone! He really can make hair look healthy and stylish! He is very pleasant to chat to as well. The girls in the salon are always very friendly and smiley as well so the whole experience is wonderful and you come out feeling like a completely new person! I am very pleased and hope that Toby will look after my hair till I'm old and grey (but obviously won't look it haha!)

I have had Toby and his wonderful team looking after me for years. The recently refurbished space is absolutely fantastic and has a great vibe in there. The team are all extremely friendly and make you feel like family. The level of service at Hairspace is second to none and I would highly recommend them.
