Chris Giallonardo is a certified Gracie jiu-jitsu blue belt and went through the instructor certification program in 2012. He finished certification with a live evaluation in july of 2012 at Gracie academy headquarters in Torrance, California.

At a very young age, Helio Gracie learned traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu techniques from his older brother, Carlos. In the late 1920s, he began to modify these techniques to accommodate his frail physique with the objective of developing a system that would enable him to defend himself against larger opponents.
The application of traditional Gracie Jiu-Jitsu transcends the application of chokes, jointlocks, immobilizations, throws, and strikes. Gracie is a way of life. Beyond the mat, members of the Gracie family live balanced, healthy lives based on the same philosophy that governs their unique self-defence system.
Although every child gets bullied, only 15% of them actually report it, and once a bully targets a victim, they will continue to harass that child as long as they can get away with it. The only way a child will verbally stand up for him/herself against a bully is if they are confident they can defend themselves if attacked.

I have been coming here since 2016 and love training here. The environment is clean, inviting and Chris is a great instructor. The people who train here love Jujitsu and it shows. Shout out to my training partners Osss! My son really enjoys the kids class and Chris and Toni are amazing with them.
The mats are clean and well taken care of; parking in front of the building and more across the street; very clean change area and bathroom facilities also.

My son and I both train here. It's an awesome place to train and we love it completely. Chris and Toni have been so kind and generous on and off the mat and we've met a lot of good people through there. The staff is knowledgable, kind, courteous, and embody the Jiu Jitsu lifestyle. The classes are taught 100% true to the Gracie Jiu Jitsu curriculum. Questions are always answered and they will go the extra mile to help you understand something. They are excellent with the kids and always make time to talk to them about their problems; they have even done that for me also.
