Prairie Hearing Centre
There is still a stigma attached to hearing aids, so it can be a difficult decision. What a wonderful experience this has been for me! The clinician was both professional and warm at the same time. I recently received my hearing aids and it has opened up a whole new world for me. How much I have missed without realizing it!

Thank you Prairie Hearing Centre! You are awesome! Prairie Hearing Centre is a full-service diagnostic testing and hearing aid clinic in Grande Prairie (AB) that specializes in hearing tests, aural rehabilitation and communication strategies, and hearing aid sales and service. Our state-of-the-art office is located on the ground floor in Junction Point 2/3, with plenty of free and handicap-accessible parking.
Services
Teresa became interested in the hearing profession because three of her children were born with hearing loss. She was born and raised in Grande Prairie and has very strong ties to the community. Teresa graduated from McEwan University's Hearing Aid Practitioner Program in 2000, and she has been an active member with CHAPA, the regulating body for practitioners in Alberta.
A number of tests are available to help discover the nature of hearing abilities and difficulties, and will allow us to determine an appropriate course of action to help you hear better. Pure Tone Audiometry: An audiogram using air and bone conduction testing helps to determine the patient's hearing ability relative to normal adult hearing levels by type and degree of hearing loss.
There are many businesses who require employees to have their hearing tested annually or on a scheduled basis in order to comply with Occupational Health & Safety and Worker's Compensation standards. We can have your employees tested and on their way with a copy of their hearing test results in 15 minutes!
Hearing Aid technology is better and easier to use than it ever has been! If you have made the decision that you want to hear better, Prairie Hearing Centre will ensure that you are able to experience and 'hear' the benefit that you'll receive from hearing aids.

After you fully understand the results of your hearing test and how your hearing affects your day-to-day life, Prairie Hearing will present you with your options and choices for hearing amplification. We'll help you explore financing options, and see if you are eligible for coverage with any of the many government and private programs in place that help with the associated costs.
As part of our goal of making better hearing an attainable goal for you, we also want to make paying for them as simple as possible as well. We believe that hearing aids can truly improve your life, so we want to make sure that you can afford them too.

If you have an exposure history of noise in the work place, have served for the RCMP or military in any capacity, or are an Alberta senior over the age of 65, you may be eligible to apply for hearing aid or assistive listening device funding.Prairie Hearing Centre works with several third-party providers through the provincial and federal governments, and we can provide documentation and exploration of all financing possibilities.

Both myself & my fiancé made appointments for hearing tests here. Turns out we just mumble & have excellent hearing 😅 The staff were all very friendly & helpful. The appointments were quick & professional. The facility is immaculately cleaned & all COVID policies are in place & enforced. I was very pleased with my experience.

Excellent, friendly service! I was looking for customized ear protection. The first set came back inaccurate but they quickly remolded my ears and the second set came back perfect! Throughout the process I was assured that my comfort and satisfaction were their priority, and that was certainly the case!

Terrible service ! This morning my son and I had an appointment at Prairie Hearing there was a slight mis-communication with the time ...he was booked for 9:30am but we had it written done as 9:50am as we walk in the lady at the front counter very rudely says "Your appointment was at 9:30am so we will not be able to see you today as we will not have time to do the paper work...at this time there were no other patients in the waiting room nor had any come in and out in the ten minutes I had waited outside for my son to arrive! I mentioned to her that there must have been a slight misunderstanding

Went to get hearing aid reciever fixed. I wanted to change it myself because they were busy but they wouldn't let me. Had to wait half an hour not being able to hear properly and missing work because of it. When they finally "change it" they put the same one back in. Didn't even do it well. The receiver was loose and the top pin holding the case together wasn't replaced all the way back in. There isn't even any need to remove this pin to change the reciever.
I found a website to order receivers online. Everything works great now.
