Dr. Gary Stevenson and his office manager and trained dietician wife, Julie Stevenson, opened Yonge-Steeles Family Wellness Centre in North York in 1985. We are a family-based practice offering chiropractic wellness care. We are centrally located near Yonge Street, with easy access to public transit and evening hours for your convenience.
During a football match at his university, Dr. Gary Stevenson suffered a significant neck injury that simply didn't respond to physical therapy or medicines. He was in agony and unable to sleep, study or do anything for three months. Eventually, a friend attending chiropractic college suggested he see a chiropractor for his neck injury.
Think of an adjustment as "tuning" a piano, adjusting each string so it produces the perfect tone. At Yonge-Steeles Family Wellness Centre, we offer full spine chiropractic care using manual adjusting techniques. After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spinal joints.
During your first visit to Yonge-Steeles Family Wellness Centre, our goal is to discover the underlying cause of your pain and how we can help. After a warm greeting, you'll get a quick tour of office and then we'll get started. Next we'll do a pre-exam, including a nerve scan and posture analysis before Dr. Stevenson comes in for your consultation.

I live close by. I thought it would be nice to get treatments without driving and parking and gave the business to a neighbor. Well, I was very disappointed. I don’t have an issue with running a practice from a house. But I don’t like the tactics selling it’s services. I had a neck muscle spasms and need a 5 minute correction. When I walked in, I was asked to fill all information on my body. Naturally, i put on a few other issues. I was told I needed to do a X-ray and assess the situation. I was asked to view some videos produced in 90’s. Most importantly, I didn’t get any treatment.

I'd been treated at another chiropractic centre for a number of years and when that practitioner retired, I began going to Yonge Wellness. Two of my children had been treated there in the past and were very pleased. I have been more than happy with my experience over the past year. Dr Stevenson is knowledgeable, personable and skilled. His admin assistant, Alexandra, is also a gem. I recommend this clinic without reservation.

I am been going to Dr. Gary Stevenson for almost 8yrs about 6 times a year. In some ways you have to put more trust and confidence in your Chiropractor than your own MD. Well Dr. Stevenson ability, experience and own confidence checks off all the boxes your need. Ma and Pa practice with his wife Julie running the office. Julie Is able to coordinate you to see Dr. Stevenson even if you can only call same day. I don’t do a lot of reviews but this one is overdue.

Whenever a member of my family has any sort of medical issue, Julie and Dr. Stevenson always have great suggestions and don't think twice about getting us any help their office can provide! Cost for these unexpected treatments isn't even mentioned; it's complementary! Their office truly cares about the health and wellbeing of their patients. The office is very flexible with accommodating last-minute appointments, and they adjust your appointment frequency to your needs. Together, Dr. Stevenson and Julie are a perfect team!

First you are dealing with a very professional practice. When you walk in you are greeted with a friendly hello and over time over subsequent visits you are greeted by your first name by Julie or Dr. Gary Stevenson. Both are very personable and professional people. They listen to you and are very accommodating with finding solutions if you have to move or reschedule appointments. Dr. Gary Stevenson has helped me improve my alignment and I feel stronger in handling

I have been seeing Gary and Julie for over 10 years for preventative care. He exhibits great techniques and strength to maintain my healthy body and active lifestyle. The moment I enter the Yonge Steeles Chiropractic Clinic, I feel a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff has always treated me as if I were family. Dr. Stevenson is very skilled and knowledgeable. The office is very thorough in explaining how chiropractic works and how it can help me. I can honestly say that I feel unbelievable after every treatment, almost as if I can conquer the world. Thanks to Dr. Stevenson, I am more mobile and less restricted in accomplishing my daily activities.

I became a patient of Dr.Stevenson while I was in dental hygiene school. I am so glad to have found them because my working life is now much easier and pain free. The staff is very friendly and always make me feel right at home. I sometimes take advantage of their on-site registered massage therapist when my muscles are a bit tense; they are a one-stop shop for my back issues!. I would definitely recommend this clinic!!!

The Yonge Steeles Wellness Centre takes health care to a level rarely achieved by health care providers. The office is welcoming and clean. But beyond that, Dr. Stevenson is the first health care provider to address and dramatically reduce my back pain. The experience has been so positive that I have even taken on work in the clinic. I cannot recommend this location strongly enough.
