Sherry grew up in Terrace BC and established her Notary Office in 1995. With over 23 years of professional practice, Sherry has the experience and skill to deal with all types of real estate transactions. The authentication and legalization process involves sending valuable documents to third parties. Inevitably they will be marked, stamped, bound, or embossed. In many circumstances they will not be returned to you. The alternative to submitting an original document is to use a Certified True Copy. A Certified True Copy is a copy (usually a photocopy) of the original that has been signed and sealed by a Canadian notary or commissioner of oaths.
Once you have completed your submission, you will receive an email or telephone call from a staff member confirming that we have started your file. If you have any questions or need any assistance completing the form, please contact our office at 250-635-5988 and we will be happy to assist you. You may also start a file with us by simply calling our office at (250) 635-5988 to provide us with the required information.
Title InsuranceTitle InsuranceHow to buy a home can be confusing. To help you better understand the process of buying a home, we have compiled our clients' most frequently asked questions. Generally speaking a contract respecting land is not enforceable if it is not in writing. Before signing the Contract you should consult your Notary or realtor.
Selling a home, strata (condo) or any real estate can be complex and overwhelming. At Sherry Anderson Notary Public we strive to make the process of selling real estate easier. Typically, in BC you will receive your sale proceeds on the Completion Date set out in your contract after the transfer documents are submitted for registration at the applicable Land Title Office.

Brought my father's Power of Attorney papers (filled it out on the BC Government provided form) to Sherry for notarizing. She asked a couple of pertinent questions to myself and my father, looked over the contents of the document and signed. This took 5-10 minutes and the costs were a 5th of the person my father had used before. Great to the point services, well done.

Can I give zero stars?
Hurried, impersonal, dismissive, unresponsive, often downright rude.
This is a very busy office and although Ms. Anderson has a great deal of support staff, none of them appear to be empowered to actually get anything done, or have much legal knowledge or authority.
Ms. Anderson's office is often chosen by clients because it's established and well known but I would highly recommend going to a smaller company where you'll likely receive better, attentive service.
Terrible experience with an established professional who clearly could care less.
