WHAT A GEM! Found this randomly on Google Maps and it was the best decision we made on our road trip. Food was great and made with love. The place is so nice, clean, and a good place to hangout and have a meal or a beer.

Room:
+ good fridge, nice beds
- dirty carpets, stained furniture, windows not opening, water disgustingly sulphuric, Giant Tiger brand "towels," terrible smell in room
Service: - request for extra towel denied, stairway always muddy
Restaurant:.+ Breakfast was very good with good service.
Everything VERY outdated to even the "Maid" request on the door handle.
Will never stay here again. Worst Hotel experience in Ontario.

The water is not drinkable. It smells like sulfur mixed with feces. The hotel rooms are badly dated and have broken fixtures and leaking taps, stained rugs and chairs, mould on the ceilings etc. If you can stay someplace else. Do so. The attached restaurant was ok and had good breakfast and service.

Nice little spot, nice friendly people. Food is great. The rooms and buildings are dated and a little rough but I'm told new owners purchased it and have big plans. I'm looking forward to going back. We had a great time. Oh and the view of the French River is beautiful. Nice relaxing spot.

Decent room but could use some new carpet and paint.
Beds were comfortable and room are big.
Water in shower is disgusting and smells like rotten eggs. Definitely in need of some water filtration.
Restaurant had good service and the food was good.
Low rating because of the water.

I've traveled extensively throughout Canada & the US and the motel room at this place was the absolute worst I've ever stayed at. Smelly (sulpher/rotten egg) water out of the taps, wall to wall stained everything, rusty bathroom fixtures, thin, threadbare linens, the list goes on and on. Yes, it's the only place to stay in the area but do yourself a favour and keep driving.

Smells like urine in the room. Rugs and chair are disgusting, covered in stains. Every door handle was sticky. I brought lysol wipes thank God, they were black when I finished washing down everything in the room and the doorknobs. New owners take over soon and they will be doing improvements 👏 👏. Also the water stinks so bad it will make you want to throw up.

Nice area. Rooms were clean but dated but bed is comfy. I kept the air conditioner off as it had a slight smell when I turned it on. The owner is very nice and helpful as well. Price could be less and maybe new towels as well is recommended.

Pros: Comfy beds and clean sheets. Located right on the lake providing a beautiful view. Check in was easy. Tv worked.
Cons: The room had stained carpets. No wifi. Water in the shower felt slimy. This room was a 100$ so terrible value. In the middle of the night several guys entered the building and were very loud. I think they were repair men as they were talking to some woman on loud speaker about the water. This went on for over 20 minutes and they proceeded to yell and swear every other word. When checking out in the morning I found another set of keys for my room in the door on the opposite
