After assessment, considering what needs to be treated and the goals of my client getting a massage that day, I weave a combination of techniques from different types of massages into a smooth flow. Hot stone massage - I find it super beneficial from a therapeutic view besides how relaxing it feels.

Did you know Custom Fit Orthotics are usually covered under your extended health benefits? A custom fit orthotic is a device that is put into your shoe made from a mold or scan of your foot. These devices are used to assist in the mechanics of your foot and maintain the foot's arch. Maintaining proper foot motion and arch support can relieve pain by correcting poor alignment and improving foot gait.

Massage Matters provides a top notch customer experience to book your massage all online and provides friendly and great RMTs. I'm so happy to find a clinic that is in the 21st century where I can see the profiles of all the RMTs and their availability that fits my schedule. They also bill insurance directly so you don't have to worry about filing your claim yourself saving you time! Receipts are sent all online too.

I was unable to book online, the website kept failing to load the page past authorizing transaction. Called instead and was able to book easily. While calling to book my appointment I found the receptionist strange to talk to. She paused awkwardly between her sentences but was quick and friendly. Looking forward to my appointment.

Disappointed by my experience. I’ve been here before and had a great session. This time was different. The massage therapist was just okay. A lot of rubbing up and down but not the targeted massage I’ve gotten many times before. I was hoping to release some trigger points with long holds and while I asked for deep and targeted it’s just not what I got. Secondly, the staff up front were talking SO loudly upfront and I couldn’t relax. It wasn’t the spa environment I’m used to or was promised. Lastly, while they say they have direct billing, I was told I would have to do it on my own.

I booked an appointment two weeks in advance, but it was cancelled which isn’t a big deal… things come up. So I rescheduled my appointment, again 2 weeks in advance and it was cancelled again a day before my appointment. Really wanted to support a local establishment but I’ll have to search elsewhere.

I have been a patient here for over 5 years now. I love their staff! This spa/clinic is located near my work and is in a historic building. All of the therapists are amazing. I have major back issues from a car accident and this place has been my little treat to myself every now and then. The tables heat up, the rooms have old STONE walls and they play very relaxing music. You have an option of getting a membership where you can get massages monthly for a way cheaper rate than anywhere else nearby. Every one of my massages have ended with some recommended exercises and flavoured water. I highly

I was impressed with my first visit to Massage Matters. Booking appointment was very easy through their website. I found the staff very pleasant. Shaun, the chiropractor, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose my issue very quickly and he really helped with my pain during my first visit. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I started coming here as a family member recommended it to me. I have had massages here from a few different RMT's. I usually request Latysha as she is great at focusing on sore spots and is really kind and warm. If you do the monthly membership, it's $70 for a 60 mins. massage. Booking online is a breeze and they bill your insurance company directly. Everything is just really well organized and run. Front desk staff have always been friendly, not to mention their tiny dog who you might see in the reception area! The facilities are clean and spa-like. They always have some kind of cucumber

River was great, not much of a conversationalist, I didn't mind, I passed out...
Only draw back was the construction outside, I walked past the fold out property sign had to double google the address to confirm that I had walked by... and if I had mobility issues I'd be screwed, they're down 15 stairs in the basement.

Booked a prenatal with Sheena. Amazing. Professional and courteous. Asked what I want concentration on. Asked (non-intrusively) throughout the massage about the pressure.
For prenatals, they do side massages. For first time clients, they do a special rate of $45/hr. They do ask you if you would like to give gratuity when paying.
Calm, relaxing atmosphere; small but good.
Highly recommend.

Found out about Massage Matters through yelp by luck. And boy am I glad that I did. Smooth reception and sweet people. You get awesome packages for first time visit or treatment which is great. Their prices are good compared to the service you get. The place is very clean.
Mike was my therapist. I believe it was one of the best professionl massges I ever got.

I went to massage matters for my first massage ever. I called in to booked an appointment on Thursday and the receptionist got me in Saturday afternoon.
When I got my confirmation email I found out I was with a guy. I was a little thrown off I wasn't asked if I had a preference. I thought I may feel awkward and was a little nervous. When I got there the receptionist greater me warmly and I filled out some paper work. I got to choose a free enhancer and went with the face massage. I also really liked the fact that I got to choose my own essential oil sent out of 4. I didn't have to wait

Building is gorgeous. Lots of old brick, nicely decorated, lots of space. Staff were very friendly. Great downtown location at Adelaide and Jarvis. You can also easily book online.
My RMT was very friendly, always asked if everything was okay/pressure/heat, etc. Got a little chocolate too :) Good
