Now entering into its 43rd year operation, the Alison Lamont School of Dance continues to provide a "Quality Dance Education" for students age 3 to adult. As dance educators we try to stimulate, inspire, motivate and encourage each student to reach their potential. The individual qualities we wish to promote at the ALSD include confidence, perseverance, self- esteem, and self-discipline.
The group skills we consider important are peer support, friendship, courtesy, leadership and team-work. A Quality Dance Education' goes far beyond the doors of a dance studio or a performance stage. It offers a strong foundation of self-discipline, respect, leadership, challenge and creativity.

Services
Miss Eila grew up studying dance at the Alison Lamont School of Dance and has been teaching at ALSD for the past 14 years. Eila has her teaching certification with the Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA) and numerous years of dance and teaching experience in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Lyrical and Acro.
To foster and support the Art of dance at Alison Lamont School of Dance and within the dance community. The LDA parent group fundraises monies to provide our dance families with dance opportunities. In the past, this has mainly been focused on a Production Cruise that occurred approximately every third year and involved only the older students.
For our youngest dancers, this class will serve as an introduction to dance. The creative elements in this class allow a child to be inspired by movement and engage with other children. Parents are to remain with their tot in the class, unless advised by the instructor. Tot must be 18 months for this class.
The Grade 6 through Grade 8 RAD Ballet Exams require specific exam attired as outlined by the RAD. Your dancer will be required to wear a simple RAD approved bodysuit in a regulation colour, with a matching skirt and scarf of a specific size *(see image below). You may choose to purchase a new bodysuit and have a skirt and scarf made or you may be able to find a second-hand exam outfit.
