I obtained my CA designation in 1979 having been a student-in-accounts at the firm of Peat Marwick (now KPMG) since 1977. Then I transferred to the tax department of that firm where I concentrated on advising corporate and personal clients concerning tax planning and assisting with tax filing requirements.
