To combat this trend, regulatory agencies around the world have implemented requirements for error prevention training. ICAO, EASA and Transport Canada are just a few agencies that have mandated human factors training as an error prevention strategy. Aviation accident reports often refer to aircraft maintenance departments as contributing links in the chain of events that lead to an aviation incident.
The workshop is in compliance with Transport Canada, FAA and EASA 145 requirements and is FAA IA renewal approved. Additionally, we provide eight phases of recurrent human factors training that further explore various aspects of error prevention strategies in aviation.

Practically speaking, a SMS is a business-like approach to safety. In keeping with all management systems, a SMS provides for goal setting, planning, and measuring performance. It concerns itself with organizational safety rather than the conventional health and safety at work concerns. An organization's SMS defines how it intends the management of air safety to be conducted as an integral part of their business management activities.
Safety Management Systems Familiarization and Policy Manual Development (one day workshop). This workshop is designed to assist small to medium sized organizations in their completion of a gap analysis and provide participants with the knowledge of the elements required to compose their own company SMS program/manual.
