Cadance Academy is located in New Minas and Kentville in the Annapolis Valley and was founded by Linda Jess in 1979. Cadance offers many different styles of dance including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Zumba, Yoga and so many more. Cadance is dedicated to providing qualified instruction in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Many parents think all dance schools are the same but this is just not the case. There are two different types of schools - one that has a focus on competition and one that focuses on a non-competitive dance environment, better known as a performance school. We have trained successful dance competitors, but unlike some studios we are not focused on students who intend to compete.
