Even though the sales man was amazing and helpful throughout the process, The One star review represents the experience with the car itself (2015 Hyundai Sonata -44000km). Carimex had to fix the brakes 2 weeks after I bought it. Engine light turned on less than 40 days after I got it. I was told that warranty was only 30 days and that I need to take it to a Hyundai dealership where it costed me $497 to fix.

The mechanics at this place majorly helped me out when nobody else was open for the holidays many years ago, so I always wanted to come back to buy a car. Recently made my way in to get a 2015 Nissan Altima. It was a very low pressure experience, I didn't feel like I was pushed above my budget. I waited until well after the included warranty was expired to review. So far:
-Car drives great
-No problems, had it checked over by my own mechanic
-it was clean inside and out, might as well have been brand new

I used Carimex Auto Sales in Waterloo about a year and a half ago. I cannot recommend them. After 32 days of owning my "new to me" car, the transmission blew and left me at the side of the road. Consumer protection warranty ends after 30 days. I asked if they would help with the repair cost and refused, I was willing to negotiate a shared cost of the repairs. They said no and that was that. They are not interested in the customer after the car leaves the lot. Satisfaction not guaranteed!

Bought a vehicle from Carimex and it was an awesome experience. 9 months after the purchase we noticed paint peeling from the front bumper and peeling from the hood. Peter, a sales manager, stood 100% behind their product and repainted the problem area with my only responsibility being the cost of the materials and Carimex would cover the rest. Needless to say it was the best service I ever received and would highly recommend Carimex to everyone. Tremendous customer service !

Honestly, save your time and money and shop somewhere else. We bought a vehicle here in mid-June. Two weeks later the check engine and wrench lights came on and the vehicle was chugging. We were assured we would be taken care of and there would be no cost to us because of a 30 Day Warranty (plus the warranty we had purchased). They had our vehicle for about a week, and called us to pick it up claiming it was fixed. Not two minutes out of the dealership lot was it chugging again with the lights on. This has to be the worst dealership in the tri city. Usually when you're investing so much money into a product/service you expect the sales associate to be honest to you. Everyone at the dealership is a scam. Unfortunately I wasn't aware of the bad reputation that carimex had but after purchasing a car from them I can confirm this dealership is full of crooks. When I was signing the papers for my car for security purposes I kindly asked their financial advisor to fix some of the safety concerns I had with the car, he promised me that they ENSURE SAFETY on all their vehicles.
