Creative thinking requires room to roam but, at the end of the day, good graphic design is design that works. Packaging is more than just a container for you product. It speaks volumes about the quality and legitimacy of what's inside. In fact, studies show that up to 70% of consumers admit their purchasing decision is greatly influenced by the look and feel of the packaging.

Does your packaging make the cut? Does it create a good first impression? Does it truly reflect the product inside? Does it resonate with your target audience? In this day of social media and the unboxing experience, these details matter more than ever! So yes, looks are important, but they aren't the only thing that matters.
Services
Shortcreative was founded by Cheryl and Howard Short. We have been working together since meeting in the 80s at the Alberta College of Art in the 4-Year Visual Communications Program. Our shared dedication to a higher standard of visual communications has served us and our clients well for over 20 years.
Having a designer behind the lens creates cohesive imagery. Creative thinking and technical knowledge are absolute necessities in the conception of stunning photographs. No Instagram filter can ever replace this. We shoot people, things and places. Most images you'll see on this site were taken by shortcreative.
Over the years, product photography has become a speciality for us. We know how to light and compose images for both print and online catalogs, advertising and social media promotion. If you're looking for professional product photography in Victoria, look no further. While we prefer to shoot in the studio, we are also well equipped to photograph at any location.
Your brand identity shapes your customer's perception of your company and products or services. While your brand is defined by much more than just your logo, your logo is the foundation of your branding efforts. Strategic follow through across all your touchpoints-from your business card, website, storefront, vehicle graphics, brochures to your customer service-is crucial to ensure an authentic brand experience.
It's true that we've seen a decline in print promotion as the digital era ushered in. However, after years of being bombarded with online images and ads, the novelty is fading and banner blindness is the norm. While online stores and advertising are certainly here to stay-they are a invaluable tool to reach audiences previously unaccessible-print, a more personal and tangible way of connecting, is making a comeback.
