Rosborough Boats & Marine
Rosborough Boats of Nova Scotia, Canada is a builder of semi-custom vessels from 6 to 10+ meters, built to serve the needs of the Professional Marine Community in a variety of sectors. Established in 1955 by James D Rosborough, Rosborough Boats' origins were the design and building of fully custom wooden sailing yachts ranging in size and style to meet the exacting demands of the individual owners.

In the late 1970's as boating requirements were changing and materials and building methods were evolving, Rosborough Boats changed its direction into commercial fishing and economical cruising yachts. Today, Rosborough Boats is owned and operated by Bob and Heaton Rosborough, the son and grandson of James D Rosborough, respectively.
Services
In 1955, James D Rosborough started refurbishing retired fishing schooners into pleasure boats. It was through this period that he learned how to design majestic wooden sailing vessels, each custom built for their owners with every item thought out in detail and brought together to work with the rest of the boat and her systems.
Shipboard RHIBs are no longer basic workboats. They must be Tough and Fast while maximizing Crew Comfort & Safety. Rosborough's new Rough Water D-Collar builds off of the proven 9.11 traditional RHIB to provide a platform that is easily re-configurable to allow its crew to preform a range of tasks including: Interdiction, Enhanced Naval Boarding Party Ops, Clearance Diving, MCM duties, SAR and personnel transfer.
No one knows your mission and environment like you do. We know boats. Together we can provide the optimal platform, tailored to meet your demanding mission tasks (both known and and potential).

Originally designed in conjunction with Police & Enforcement Professionals, the Rough Water and HammerHead lines are built to offer greater stability and sea-keeping abilities while at speed in harsh conditions allowing you to face the task at hand without worrying about the always changing marine environment.
The Rough Water line of RHIBs was designed to offer a more stable and seaworthy platform than traditional RHIBs giving you piece of mind when called out when others have to head in.

Semi-Custom in nature, All of our platforms offer propulsion and layout configurations to match your operations; whether that be an enclosed wheelhouse to keep rescued persons comfortable and warm or an open deck for accommodating a larger number of people and / or Disaster Relief and Aid supplies.
Since 1955, Rosborough Boats has evolved their vessels time and again, whether it be designs, layouts or build materials we are constantly adapting to what our current and future operator's are looking for. In 2003 we launched the Rough Water line of RHIBs to meet a need from the Professional Marine Community for a RIB that offered greater seaworthiness at speed in rough conditions as well as greater personnel carrying capacity and comfort.

Too long ago to remember much or why I was even there. Job shadowing maybe. Still drive by it daily.
