After 12 years of uplifting and action-packed CeltFest summer events, we have not been offering the full festival in favour of instead doing year-round educational and entertainment events. We are taking this rare opportunity to regroup for a future year's summer festival, and making space for other projects.
Summer School offers a wide variety of subjects. Students should choose one major subject, which is offered during the daytime. Electives are optional, and are generally offered in the early evening before concerts. NOTE: Priority for class space is given to full-time (day) students attending the full week.
General Programme Overview: There are lots of great piping and drumming schools. Most focus on the development of competitive pipers and drummers rather than the evolution of skilled musicians who can perform and entertain well. At the Pacific Institute of Piping & Celtic Performing Arts Summer School for Piping & Drumming, we do it all.
This workshop, exempt from Association Rules, is open to dancers of all schools and regardless of any affilations in place. General Dance Overview: Since it began in 2001, the dance program has offered unique learning and dance opportunities for students.

Every year, some of the best instructors in the world -- who often happen to have been some of the finest performers/champions in their art form -- have taught at the school and performed at CeltFest. Our program is set within an internationally acclaimed festival of Celtic arts -- CeltFest.
The role of the fiddle in Celtic culture in our age is central. When early Gaels lost access to pipes and harps, long considered their "first instruments", the more modern European violin began to take their place in preserving their traditional tunes.

Students of violin of other types-- including whole ensembles-- have come to CeltFest school and discovered the joy and depth of Celtic music on their fiddles, which range from simple to very complex arrangements and rhythms.NOTE: The international instructors' expertise is sufficient to cover a range of Celtic & related styles - the program can also add some Scandinavian, Qubcois and Breton tunes to the list of styles mentioned below.
