Drop off and pick up of all patients has been made easier with the front entry drive through, which is also covered to protect from inclement weather.

Travel Clinics Public Health Nursing travel clinics offer immunization and health advice for people traveling out of the country. Big Country Primary Care Network (PCN) The physicians of the Hanna Medical Clinic belong to the collaborative Big Country Primary Care Network. Ladies Hospital Auxiliary The Ladies Auxillary is a volunteer committee that has been operating in the community of Hanna since the 1940's.
Dr. Fortna will see women's health issues and pelvic exams, even if she is not the patient's family physician. Dr. Wendy Fortna grew up on the Canadian prairies and worked as a teacher prior to making the switch into medicine. She got her degree from the University of Calgary and did her residency training in Medicine Hat.
Unfortunately, not all services are covered by Alberta Health Care. These prices are at the discretion of the individual physician and may be adjusted depending on the complexity of the form and time involved. Here is a list of uninsured services. Attending Physician's Statement (please check the form, it will state on it whether the patient is responsible for payment).
Dr. Fortna will see patients for women's health issues and complaints, pelvic exams and PAP smears even is she is not their primary care provider. Our clinic is very fortunate to have the specialist services of Dr. Laurel Smith, OBGYN from Drumheller, Alberta one Friday per month. As Dr. Smith is a specialist, a referral is still required by your family physician to be booked with her.
Public Health Nursing travel clinics offer immunization and health advice for people traveling out of the country. Travel products are also available. Appointments should try and be booked two months ahead of the expected date of departure. Our early childhood program offers "Crib Talk" sessions for parents/caregivers of children less than eight months.
