Riverside Badminton & Tennis
Located in one of Saskatoon's oldest neighbourhoods, Riverside Badminton & Tennis Club is a hidden gem. Starting as two separate clubs with a shared facility in the 1960's, the two eventually joined creating the club we know and love today. Over the years the club has offered tennis and badminton to the community at an affordable price, with pickleball being the most recent addition.

We offer leagues, mixers, and lessons for all ages, as well as a lounge for those who want to socialize and relax after a tough game. With 9 tennis courts and 6 badminton courts, we have tons of space for everyone!

Riverside Badminton & Tennis Club is a not for profit badminton and tennis facility, built in 1965. The Riverside Classic would be nothing if it weren't for our volunteers. Every year we receive interest from tennis fans from across the province, and we greatly appreciate anyone who is able to take the time out of their busy schedule to assist us in our tournament. We do our best to fit volunteers in their desired department, but some are more popular than others so we, therefore, ask people to choose more than one department.
The tennis season is whenever the weather cooperates. Generally, the courts are open starting in April and the leagues run from the first week of May until the end of September. Members at Riverside Badminton & Tennis Club can enjoy a number of benefits. Some of these benefits include: 10% off pro-shop items and racquet stringing, court reservation capabilities, no court fees, club event bookings at a special rate, and lesson & league discounts.
Team building is something that we value at Riverside as it helps make our club a more vibrant community. Some ways that we encourage team building is through bbqs, league and mixer participation, and local club tournaments. All these activities give the membership an opportunity to interact and socialize with each other.
Badminton and Tennis racquet stringing at Riverside takes about 3-4 business days to complete. It takes approximately 3-4 business days to complete a racquet, but could take longer if the stringer has a lot of racquets. Our stringers can help you with racquet tension, as well string selection, to ensure that you get the best use out of your racquet.

Very poor Covid precautions.
No plexiglass for staff and no mandatory masks required upon entering the building to go to the courts. 1 door for entering and exiting the building
Be careful if using this facility.

Facility seemed nice but middle aged female reception was very rude and condescending when I was inquiring about services.

Great little court. Nice atmosphere. Right alongside our beautiful river. You can't go wrong. Theres a pool nearby so you can hear a bunch of happy kids as you sweat it out, playing. Overall, a really great place and I hope people give it a chance. Due to it's neighborhood, i think many avoid it. However, they're doing themselves a disservice doing so. Great tennis court in a beautiful park!

Indoor courts can get very stuffy. Prices are only reasonable during slow hours on weekend evenings. Very strict about indoor shoes, you need to come in with two pairs to show that you are not bringing in any contamination from the outside world. I wouldn't go unless this was the only option.

Courts are beautifully situated along the river, but some courts are quite slippery even when bone dry.

This place is a staple in the badminton and tennis game. Been a few years since I have been there, but it has and always will be the best place in Saskatoon for anything badminton / tennis.
