Services
For more than 30 years, we've been designing, manufacturing and providing support to aviation engineers, working together to deliver product innovation and excellence. Air Data was founded in Montreal in 1990 by two talented engineers, Louis Labreche and Jean-Pierre Lepage. Air Data developed its technical expertise in microwave circuits and designed systems for the U.S. Air Force (C-130, C-17) during the first years of its existence.
Our Air Data Computers (ADC) are available in a number of configurations for a variety of uses, including UAV applications. Our line-up of ADCs has proven to provide outstanding performance, high accuracy and impressive long-term stability.
Air Data's line of ADCs are designed to measure and compute navigation parameters such as pressure altitude, baro-corrected altitude, altitude rate of change, computed and true airspeeds, Mach number and static air temperature.Add to this list a comprehensive built-in test (BIT) function that provides high-reliability fault detection and isolation capability.

Looking for an avionics consultant to partner with you for problem solving? Air Data offers avionic consulting services for the design, manufacture or simply to troubleshoot during the design phase, production phase or post-launch phase of avionics systems on any aircraft. Our avionic consulting experts are ready and dedicated-we test everything we do in our lab for environmental testing and qualification.
Air Data's generator regulator control unit (GRCU) regulates the voltage of a nominal 28VDC/200A generator-starter conforming to MIL-G-6162 for single or multi-engine aircraft. Air Data GRCU provides DC power conforming to limits specified in MIL-STD-704F. The GRCU is designed to share the current load of a second GRCU to regulate a twin-generator 28 VDC electrical power system.
Air Data's expertise in power conversion products is well recognized by the industry. Activities from design phase, prototyping, qualification testing and production are all conducted in our facility. Capabilities and know-how extend from low power DC-DC supplies with multiple outputs to AC-DC power supplies and generator control units for primary 28V bus power and power motor control.
