Just off Highway 1 and nestled beside the gorgeous Tynehead Regional Park, Tynehead RV Park is Surrey's best kept camping secret. We've been family owned and operated for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on maintaining a safe, quiet environment for families, couples, snowbirds, or anyone else looking to stay a little off the beaten path.
We're only 5 minutes from an organic market, gas station, and of course the massive Tynehead Regional Park, and 10 minutes from one of Surrey's biggest malls (but you'd never know it staying in our quiet park). Our long-term community varies in availability, but is perfect for those looking to spend the winter (or summer) in Canada's most temperate province.

I have been here now for 7 months...it is an awesome central location for me.
I like my neighbors. They are watchful and I feel safe.
The owner is excellent 👌 I occasionally have questions for him as this my first season living in my RV. Daniel is available to answer and help me out best for what I need. He is kind to me, I bet I annoy him with some questions.
Thank you!!! I am 100% pleased to be a part of this community.

Booked weeks ahead and was told I paid 10% deposit. My assistant did this so I was going based off what I was told. I was also charged 20$ more per night than I was supposed to be as it was off season. Apparently the owner is known for making up random over charged prices.
The day we were supposed to check in, a Wednesday, not like it was a Sunday or anything, we called multiple times to let them know we’d be there late with no response ever. When we got there, there was a bell that said ring for service, on more than one occasion (multiple nights) the bell would be rang and I’d wait for 10

Tynehead is quite the eclectic spot. While it is mostly a full-time year round leisure RV park(permanent camping) it does have about 20 camping spots. Some with picnic tables. It does get some white noise from the #1 hwy running below and parallel but nights are not bad. Very nice washroom building! Pool and mini-golf are unmaintained and in disrepair so nothing here for kids. For 1 or 2 nights to access the city or local activities, Tynehead is worth a stop.

It is a charming place with friendly staff and convenient transportation. Located in the heart of Surrey, you can go anywhere in Vancouver with ease, close to large shopping centers and convenient to dine. I don't think there is any RV camp like this close to the city center. Above all, I felt grateful for the care and kindness of the staff.

Don't recommend for families. Pool closed and no open space for kids to play just a couple of swings and a slide which didn't look safe in fact the whole site looked run down and Lots of permanent trailers so that should be a warning. This is not a place for the vacationing RV er. The only plus it backed on to Ty Head regional park.

This campground "does the job", but that’s it. It’s "good enough" if you want to visit Vancouver and stay for cheap, but it doesn’t really have any qualities besides being close to Vancouver. Among its weak points are:
1. Overflowing and smelly trash next to our campsite (which was cleaned up for the weekend, but still)
2. Pool is closed and frankly disgusting
3. Gym is disorganized
4. Water source does not seem potable
5. Showers require tokens which must be purchased at the home office. Unfortunately, the home office isn’t open often during weekends so it’s very difficult to actually

This place will put you in a bad mood. One of the owners kicked me out right after I paid him for a camp spot for one night, screamed and yelled because I told him it was just my fiance and I camping although he saw my father and my dog in the car as well, i told him he was just dropping us off and our dog and my father wasnt staying, he became very sarcastic and aggressive with plenty of witnesses around. At one point he got so enraged i had to suggest calling the authority's. He then because very prejudiced and threw my money at me. I swear I did nothing to provoke him and I'm not making this

I stopped at Tynehead RV Camp looking for a sani-dump I could pay to use. (I had used this service at this location years ago). I was completely taken aback at how rude the owner was when I asked at the front desk "Do you have sani-dump services here?". Without even looking up from his paperwork he barked "We don't have that here". I stood there for a long, awkward moment of silence. Finally I prompted "Could you make a suggestion?". "You could try Dogwood" he said. More awkward silence. "Can you tell me where that is" I asked? He was so unfriendly

So to begin my review it did appear the staff's heads were slightly smaller than normal but I was disappointed because I did not believe that their heads were truly "tiny" but with time my opinion changed drastically as you will read... Outstanding accommodations and very friendly, helpful, knowledgable staff. Always went astonishingly above and beyond without question helping my partner and I charge our phones, recommending a site and even gladly offering to boil us a pot of water for our handmade, fair trade, Sumatran dark roast mid afternoon coffee. The pool was impeccably immaculate

We went here one time for a weekend.
What we liked:
-large open tenting space
-playground
-close to home
What we didn't like
-pool was very cold
-bathrooms a big walk from tent sites
The large space was perfect for us because we were the only tenters there. However, if there were more people, it might not be enough privacy.
