Precision Industries Inc. was established in 1966 by Larry Catton and W.R. Frisinger. We have built a national reputation as the leader for chrome plating plastic extrusion dies and extrusion screws. Our quality, service and attention to detail has allowed us to build relationships with original equipment manufacturers and plastic processing companies throughout North America.
In 1987 we opened our 2nd location in Valdosta, Georgia to better serve our east coast and gulf coast customers. Both facilities perform industrial hard chrome plating, HVOF thermal spray coatings as well as value added machine shop services. Our facilities operate 365 days a year with approximately 100 employees between both facilities.

Services
Our in-house repair services allow us to perform base metal repairs prior to coating. Surface preparation is critical in order to achieve proper bond strength and high quality surface finishes. Welding, machining, turning, cylindrical grinding, id grinding, surface grinding, belt polishing, hand polishing and super finishing are some of the services performed daily at our facilities.
Hard chrome plating is an electroplating process by which chromium is deposited onto industrial machine parts. Chrome plating is used for wear and corrosion resistance. Chrome is very hard, measuring 65Rc - 70Rc depending on the base metal hardness. Chrome has a very low co-efficient of friction, providing excellent lubricity and reduced friction.
Precision Industries specializes in chrome plating extrusion dies, screws and rolls for the plastics industry. We offer complete rework services for PVC pipe tooling, sheet extrusion dies, blown and cast film dies, co-extrusion dies and feedblocks. Additional services include disassembly and reassembly of all electrical and mechanical components, cartridge heater testing, new electrical wiring and boxes, new restrictor bars, etc.
