The Lefse House is located in beautiful downtown Camrose, Alberta. It was originally established in 1989 by Scandinavian entrepreneur Helen Lien. Now, together with his wife Linda, daughter, Jane, and many long-time staff members, the shop produces favourite items from Scandinavian recipes including lefse, flatbread, rosettes, fattigmann and krumkake.
The Lefse House supplies markets in Alberta with our delicious flatbread and potato lefse. Browse through the list to find a location near you! If you are looking for more than just lefse and flatbread, please contact us and ask about our shipping options. Whether you're continuing a family tradition or starting a new one, the DVD will make the process easier. 7/8" X 24" long with a red painted handle, this stick allows you to flip the hot and delicate lefse in a whole round. 1 1/2" X 24" long, wood burned handle stick with a protective cloth sheath makes storage easier.
We offer chip carving, watercolor paintings of Norway, and original rosemaling art. We three visited in early Sept. at 2 pm. Reception was fast and friendly. The restaurant only has about 6 tables but 2 were empty. Service was excellent. Full meals are about $18 and smaller portions about $13. There is a very good selection. We had a Reuben Sandwich, Swedish Meat Balls, and a half-meal Smoked Salmon plate along with 2 coffees and a soft drink. The meals included dessert along with coffee refills! Everything was absolutely great. (FYI the washroom was immaculate). We very highly recommend The Lefse House for a meal in Camrose.

We have visited Lefse House a few times now and have greatly enjoyed our meals. The home made quality is superb and there is a great selection of baked goods. The apple pie was one of the best I have tasted in a very long time, as was a very fresh cherry pie which we ordered and have since devoured :) We will be back.

Wow - this place was great!
Three of us popped in for lunch one day.
Nice little restaurant / gift shop / bakery / kitchen.
Two of is had BLT sandwiches and I had a salad.
Both meals were great. So fresh too.
My companions each had a slice of Kringle. I had a lemon butter horn. Oh my - the butter horn was amazing!
The butter horns are worth stopping for on their own.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Lefse House. All of the food we saw and ate was home made and it was excellent! The proprietor was friendly and the prices were reasonable. They have a fun selection of Norwegian and Swedish gifts and the baked goods were fantastic! The Lefse was just like my grandpa used to make.

Friendly small business that serves home style Scandinavian lunches and desserts. Not only do they make their own sandbakkles, krumkake, pault, lutefisk, and lefse, they offer the supplies you need to make your own.
Their shop has Norwegian books, crafts, recipes and cooking materials. You can find rosette irons, pans to make poffertjes/ebelskivers, krumkake irons, lefse pans and molds for Kransekake.
All you need to make desserts like a Norwegian grandma.
