The personal frustration and discomfort caused when Jeff was first provided with a poorly fitted and constructed prosthetic leg opened the door to what has become a remarkable career. Jeff decided that he could do much better and built his own prosthetic leg.

He quickly realized that he had an ability to help many others and completed the George Brown College Orthotic & Prosthetic Technical Program located at one of North America's leading and largest health care institutions, the Sunnybrook Health Science Centre in Toronto.
Orthotic applications are fabricated out of thermoform plastic with thermo foam lining for a comfortable intimate fitting. A biomechanical approach is used when configuring the strapping system to suspend devices. Elastic integration of the strapping system allows for a comfortable fit while maintaining optimal suspension, so as not to impede on the dynamic movement of dogs anatomy.
Prosthetics are made using thermosetting laminate plastic and closed cell thermo foams, providing an intimate fitting for optimal weight bearing comfort and functional use. The prosthetic paws have a rocker bottom surface enabling a smoother gait minimizing the energy required when walking. The rubber grip on the paw allows for good traction on slippery surfaces and prolongs the use of the prosthetic paw material.
A consultation with your vet or physical assessment by a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner or Technician (CCRP or CCRT) will be required to determine the injury or debility which is causing your dog's symptoms. The materials chosen for your dog's brace will be in accordance with the dog's size and weight, balancing comfort with durability.
