Before my G test, I wanted to just do another quick lesson to correct any remaining flaws in my driving. I did one lesson with Above the Best Driving School in Ottawa. After my friend's suggestion, I decided upon choosing Above The Best driving school in Ottawa. I completed the whole course in 2 weekends.

I must say my experience was excellent. Muttu was my instructor and with all honesty I can state being under his tutelage benefited me greatly. The professionalism exhibited and the genuine care and sincerity in helping me pass my exam was really appreciated. Having to obtain the G1 and go straight for the full G exam based on my prior out of country driving license was very stressful. In my opinion, you cannot get better service and confidence from anyone else.

I booked with Above the Best to do my G road test because my G2 was expiring and I only had a few weeks to complete my road test. I’m not an everyday driver and I needed to build road confidence fast. I had my lessons with Surinder, who was patient and gave me good driving tips for defensive driving. Surinder helped me overcome my fear and I passed my G the first time. I highly recommend Surinder if you need someone with alot of road experience and how to teach new and nervous drivers.

Classes are well taught! Muttu sir has a unique way of teaching, and it ensures that we learn and retain our information. Classes are insightful and Muttu sir makes sure all his students are understanding the course materials. My in car instructor was Surinder sir, and he is a very patient instructor and teaches you to be a confident and safe driver. I passed on my first try all thanks to Above the Best Driving School!

My son just completed his driver's training at Above the Best. I was looking for a school that was affordable, convenient, competent and responsive. These guys met and exceeded my criteria. My son completed the in-school portion over two full weekends. He easily got there on the 88 bus direct from Glen Cairn in Kanata. The class was small and the instructor was excellent - understandable, knowledgeable and personable. He then easily booked his 10 hours of instruction with a gentleman who picked him up at home, did 2 hours at a time in-car, and completed their last session as a dry run at the Walkley

I got my driver education certificate from the above the best 13+ years ago, which held me get my driver's licence. I am thrilled to find the school is in business after I returned to Ottawa many years later and I need to retake road test as the old one got expired. I paid for a few sessions with instructor Muttu for my road test preparation to refresh my knowledge/skills and go over the drive test route to build my confidence. I spent a lot of time searching for a good driving school for my daughter, and found Above the Best based on reviews and general location. Muttu was knowledgeable, patient and happy to answer questions from the class. He was a great instructor and taught memorable tactics to my daughter whilst learning to drive.

At above the best driving school, Muttu engages the class to solve problems you may face while driving and explains very specific rules of the road. Muttu is a very professional and patient teacher, he was able to give me a lot of good pointers while doing the in car lessons. I recommend Above The Best to anyone who plans on attending driving school for their G2.

It's been a couple of years since I passed my driving test thanks to Above the Best's driving instructor, Muttu's excellent tutelage. At the time I had promised I'd let him know I passed, but time got away and I've been delinquent on my promise, hence I'm writing this review.

Muttu is a great teacher! He is very kind, explains concepts very well, and he has a well organized curriculum. I learned a lot in those 4 days, and I am very happy that I went with Above the Best! The price is also much more reasonable than other driving schools in Ottawa, such as YD or DTSM. But don't let the price fool you. This is still an excellently taught course, and I would definitely recommend Above the Best to anyone looking for a good MTO approved BDE course.
