Atlas Security Service was started in 1962 by Marvin Britton, followed by the central monitoring station in 1963. Mr. Britton's desire was to provide security to the people of Springfield and the surrounding regions by providing quality security systems and quality monitoring services at reasonable prices.

Atlas Security Service began to develop its own product that allowed traditional direct wire systems to be computer automated. Atlas Security Service is the largest independently owned and operated security company in Southwest Missouri. Mr. Britton was able to rely upon his family to continue the pursuit of securing the region.

5 Stars out 5! Excellence customer service! Liam helped us get the best security system for our money. We had Atlas installed in our home 3 years ago and loved it the first day. We were familiar with other security systems and didn't get the personal costumer service that we found with Atlas. We are moving and taking Atlas Security to our new home!

Send? Same only a few fixes.


Worst customer service I have ever worked with, I'm 62. If you have the service be prepared to work with their availability and don't ever say or do anything that anyone could find offensive because you will get raked over the coals no matter how frustrated you may be. The last time I talked to them I tried to cut the rep off when they started talking about the wrong thing by saying "sir" at an increasing volume to stop something that was going to cost more money. This ended by him finally stopping and telling me to NEVER talk to him that way

Would highly recommend using a different company. You have to buy all the equipment and agree to a long contract and are required to pay it even if you move. Other security companies also have more advanced options. We also had issues with their app being reliable and taking a long time to connect.

11 months ago we were moving out of a commercial rental property and asked to have the alarm disconnected or transferred to the current tenant. Atlas has record of that phone call but apparently there was paper work they never sent us. We have several alarms on different properties so we did not catch that they were still billing until 11 months later and they refuse to refund any of the money. Most of our alarms are with American Detection and I would highly recommend you choose them over Atlas. We have never had this issue with American Detection in the 30 years we have been using them.

Atlas Security provides service & equipment to my home and business. In all of the years of service, I have never had a complaint about any staff member they employ. As the matter of fact it quite the opposite. I have developed relationships with several staff members and trust them and know that they, and the company as a whole, provide the highest quality customer service with the knowledge and equipment to back it up!
In addition, I recommend Atlas Security weekly! I work with other homeowner and small business owner which makes Atlas an easy referral partner.

After a few emails and phone calls, management corrected their support procedures and gave credit of one month's service.

At this point, I believe customer satisfaction is important to Atlas and it's management.

I have been very impressed with Atlas. Their customer service has always been prompt, courteous, and honest. The feeling of "security" (pun intended but I'm serious) that I received from Atlas was well worth the very reasonable monthly monitoring fee. They never tried to "hard sell" me and ensured that I had enough security features to feel safe but not go overboard. They have a presence on Facebook and keep their followers informed not only of things happening within the company but also of security and safety related concerns.

They have lots of payment options, including
