High Terrain Helicopters was founded in 1992. The company originally operated a Hiller 12E. Over the past 30 years High Terrain has grown to 5 aircraft and serving customers across British Columbia and Alberta. Our helicopters are a familiar sight in the Kootenays. Love is in the air! High Terrain has tailored wedding packages for your special day. We'll fly you and your family to a special place in the mountains to say your vows. With larger weddings now cancelled due to the pandemic, High Terrain can take your small group at an affordable price. We can also put you in touch with photographers and marriage officiants.
Being based in Nelson, Kaslo and Nakusp we work closely with boutique heli-ski operators in South East BC. Our flight crew have many winters under their belts and are ready to take your guests to new heights. With the challenging terrain in the area we operate exclusively our AS350 SD2s for this work as well as our Bell 205.

Thank you High Terrain for assisting us in restoring service once again! Ray is a top notch pilot, he could not have placed the pallet in a better location. We had service restored in under 8 hours, with the remoteness of the site this would not be possible otherwise. Highly recommended, you will not find better operators in the Kootenays!
