Services
Townsend Butchers locally raised beef is supplied by Miller Land and Livestock of Jarvis Ontario. They are on a diet of grass and also grain. That way there is no growth hormones or drugs are used in finishing the animals. We have been dealing with them for 30 over years. Townsend Butchers sources all its pork locally.
Place back ribs or side ribs on a cookie sheet in the oven. Bake at 300 degrees for 3 hours. Take pan out of oven and drain the grease. Season the ribs with your favourite seasonings and either place on the BBQ or back in the oven for 10 minutes. The ribs are now ready to serve. Place an appropriately sized beef roast in a roast pan, add water to a depth of about 1 inch or 2.5 cm.

We have been taking cattle here for years , Very clean and "always" treat the animals with respect , Cannot say enough good things about this company and staff , dropped a heifer off last week the gentleman that helped unload was quiet ,calm ,relaxed with the animal. SO appreciative, they treat the live stock the way i do and how i expect others to as well . Great job and keep up the great work . Well done !!! thank you !

Fantastic selection! Everything I’ve purchased has tasted wonderful. The sausage is a particular favourite in this household.

Unhappy I have been told by Townsend Butcher's their white egg flats are $8.50 yet keep getting charged $9.40 for them. I was also unaware of the prices for the large bones for dogs because I've never purchased them, after being charged without being told my total I checked and let them know I couldn't afford to buy those. So 1 white egg flat, 1 small dog bone, and 3 large dog bones I was charged $28.50 and all the lady gave me back when I said no to the large dog bones was $10. So I paid $18.75 for 1 white egg flat and 1 small dog bone? Outrageous. It should be $8.50 for the flat and not even

Have nothing but good things to say about these people! Always very friendly, very knowledgeable. Quick service even when they're busy. They always ask if you need help to your car when you buy more than a bag full, which as a mom of little people is SO nice. We always get quality meat cuts and the prices are fair.

I cook as much brisket as I can throughout the year. Last week I went to Townsend Butchers for the first time to buy a 10 to 12 lb brisket and I knew from the minute i held it that it was going to be tender. BOY WAS I RIGHT!!! It was the most tender melt in your mouth brisket ever. The 12 hr wait was worth every minute. If this is the quality you get every time why would you buy anywhere else. Thanks for that Ross H.
