We offer year-round Chimney Service, Sweeping and Inspections by fully insured, WETT certified professionals. The ACS team is committed to providing the best possible wood heating services and inspections while simultaneously giving the customer piece of mind and educating them about solid fuel practices.

Devon Jaques is a WETT certified wood heating inspector and chimney sweep. He is also a volunteer firefighter with the Renfrew Fire Department and father of three. As the owner/operator of ACS, he has been working in the industry for over 5 years and has been burning wood his whole life. Dan Jaques has a background in fine finish cabinet making.

Chimney Sweeping Report

It is recommended that any chimney used on a regular basis be cleaned annually by a certified professional. Chimney sweeping is an integral part of maintaining an efficient wood burning system. Keeping the chimney clean not only requires burning the correct wood at the appropriate temperature, but also removing the inevitable ash and creosote deposits that accumulate.

W.E.T.T. Inspections Report

Solid fuel systems can be hazardous when not installed properly. An Inspection is widely viewed as the main way to alert homeowners to potential hazards before they occur. An Inspector can also reinforce the importance of regular cleaning and maintenance. Level 1- Most W.E.T.T. Inspections start at this level.

Repairs & Installations Report

Several small problems can arise over the lifespan of your chimney and appliance, ACS can aide in the repair and maintenance of your system. Although ACS is not a stove retailer, we can gladly install a new wood burning system or simply replace or re-line an existing chimney. To be fair to our sweeping customers, our install season runs from June through August.

A Chimney Specialist has cleaned the chimney at my house for the past several years. It is a challenging clean as the roof is very steep, the chimney very long - the service has been wonderful. A Chimney Specialist has been very clean, they offer tips for improving airflow within the chimney and reducing buildup and have even repaired a seal around a window in the door. I highly recommend A Chimney Specialist.
