Fishers' Paradise is a Private Outdoor Event & Camping Facility situated on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki -. Our aim is to simply share this piece of paradise with those who appreciate tent camping and facilitate special occasions that include the enjoyment of nature's bounty in Northeastern Ontario.

We are located near the village of Field, along the Sturgeon River, 22km North West of Sturgeon Falls in West Nipissing. The St. Lawrence forest of Ontario's southern region transitions to the Boreal forest of the north - Here you can see nature collide. You are welcome to experience all seasons in this beautiful part of the country, one hour's drive from North Bay or Sudbury.
Services
We have tent sites dotted throughout the property, many with campfire pits among wilderness and trails, and close to a small oxbow lake and the Sturgeon river. We have a sauna nestled on the beach awaiting your arrival. There is a small off-grid cabin with an interior wood stove next to the lake, 3 Glamp sites, and the Guest House with all amenities.
Every summer, Fishers' Paradise hosts a very special camping & music festival; River & Sky. R&S is a festival about art in the woods; they present regional, national, and international emerging indie, folk, roots music, DJ dance parties, and installation artists while showcasing a community-based, simple, and sustainable way of life, while paying tribute to the land & nature upon which the festival takes place.
The Big River & Sky Checklist is sent to attendees each year before the festival, it is the ultimate list and we love it! NOTE for the Glampsites: Each has a bbq with utensils, some cooking gear, camp dishes/cutlery for 2, a washbasin, cleaning towels, glamp soap, first aid kit, and beds/pillows (you'll still want to bring fun stuff and sleeping bags!)

This was one of the best camping trips I have ever had! My partner and I have been wanting to scratch the itch for a winter camping experience for quite sometime, and this delivered. The sauna was great, Cobb ovens were amazing and the cabin was beautiful, rustic and cozy. Turning off the world for a few days was just what we needed. Julie is an absolute super host. Worth the drive for sure - thank you for such a perfect experience! We will be back

Nice, quiet and peaceful spot for families to get away. A lot of space between each cabin, so theres plenty of privacy for families, and fun riverside activites.

Absolutely one of the most special places in the world! The Fishers’ are the most lovely people on the planet, such hospitable, kind and caring people. This slice of land is a little piece of paradise along the sturgeon river! Peaceful campsites are secluded and private. Access to firewood, potable water and even two saunas on the beach make this an extra cozy stay! The glamping sites are especially wonderful! Get lost in the many trails on the site and take in those peaceful river vibes!

Beautiful campground. Lots to do and, secluded. Owners went out of their way for us. It rained like crazy when we were their so they gave us use of their guest house at no extra cost.

Fishers Paradise is a beautiful place with tons of campsites. The beach is sanded and the fishing really is great! There are public bikes and boats to use on a first come first serve basis and the owners are very friendly. The guest cabin has wifi, and is stocked with pretty much anything you need to make a meal (food not included :P) as well as a tv and DVD player (there are some dvds to choose from as well) it also has running water and a washer/dryer.
There are tons of walking trails and the entire property is well maintained.
Walk from guest house to beach is approx. 5 minutes so the campsites
