Gloucester Downs Equestrian Park is a fully equipped equestrian training center for both horse and rider. We would be pleased to help you and your horse or pony become the best that you can be. We teach all levels from beginners, to advanced horse show competition coaching. Horses are available for schooling to provide a full equestrian experience.
Showjumping is the focus here at GDEP, but equally important is the development of the rider as an understanding partner. Ethics, exercise physiology, interval training, progressive loading, cross training and sports psychology are available as you progress in your development. Services
Gloucester Downs Equestrian Park offers showjumper training and instruction for hunters, jumpers, and dressage. We have a Dutch Mill, round pen, indoor arena, two large outdoor arenas, a grass jumping course with liverpools, water jump, many banks, a grob or Devil's Dyke, Hickstead Bank, a race track, riding trails and more.
We believe in Personalized Individual Training for both rider and horse. Each person and each horse is an individual with a specific body type, conditioning, and training level. In order to exercise the full potential of an athlete we help to modify the physical and mental conditioning of the subject on an individual basis.
All lessons are 45 minutes in duration unless otherwise specified, payable in advance. Students are encouraged to forge a partnership with their horse, keep journals, set goals and learn superior horse husbandry. Theory lessons and preparation for EC rider levels available at the same rates. Testing done at an hourly rate.
This program will suit active people with a desire to be in the outdoors with lots of fresh air and exercise. We will teach individuals to be knowledgeable about Horse Care and Equestrian Coaching, helping them to be better consumers of these services and giving them the option of earning their way in the equine business.
Daily horse care, not including riding. All campers should indicate here how often they have done all the care for a horse for a full day. Choose one, if you choose something other than days or months please ensure that you have ridden at least three times a week for this period. Please give all the information and how this should be handled by stating details in the following box.
