Black Walnut Bakery Caf is a true family business success story that first took root in 2011 with the Etheridge family. Born and raised in London, with years of top industry experience both baking and managing, our family team knew it was time to bring those skills and passion to the bakery caf scene in London's Wortley Village.
A bakery caf in the heart of Wortley Village where we serve Organic Fair Trade coffees and teas, delectable treats, hearty soups, savoury quiches and frittatas, made-to-order sandwiches (on handcrafted bread), salads and casual meals. Warm and welcoming for the whole family, we invite you to drop in to sample our menu offerings.

At Black Walnut Bakery Caf, coffee isn't just a drink, it's an art form. We know taste, acidity and body are all important factors that come together to make a great cup, so we put a lot of thought behind the coffee we wanted to put our name on.

We created our own passionate Black Walnut Roasting Team to source the very best beans from around the world, all fair-trade and organic, and lovingly roast them locally, in small batches, at our Richmond location. Our Roasting Team uses the highly acclaimed IR-12 Diedrich Coffee Roaster to roast our beans to perfection.

I am new to London and was hoping to find a nice cafe to spend time at. This location is exactly the vibe I was seeking. It's a cute little space with lots of corner seating and relaxing lighting. The staff have been friendly and always greet me when I walk in. My favorite tables are in the middle of the Cafe where there is a big window and a cute little fireplace to enjoy. The soups and quiche are a delicious and perfect option if you have troubles with swallowing or chewing and need something soft (due to dental work, etc.). It is located in a gorgeous quaint neighborhood with little shops and

Staffs are very friendly as always in two locations. Their coffee tastes nice. Coffee beans are affordable and good quality. Parking is not desirable as expected. Your car can stay in the backyard for 5 minutes at most for takeout orders. There are many seats outside the store, which would be nice to enjoy the fall and the chill.

Always a great experience at The Black Walnut! My wife and I came here on a Saturday morning and enjoyed a couple London Fog Latte's and a date square each. Both were great! The service was also excellent and very helpful all around. We sat outside which was nice as well as they have a little patio out back.

Pros: Cute place in a great part of the city. The baked goods are delicious, and the staff are always very friendly. Overall I like this place, it’s a gem.
Cons: However, selection (baked goods flavours + drinks) is very inconsistent - even with the drinks. I try to order a blended drink every single time I go in, and I’ve only ever gotten one. There is a new excuse every time. Everything is always delicious when I get it, but I have to actually be able to get it to enjoy it so I’m unsure if it’s worth going back.

Tbh, I came here to mainly try the cruffin(croissant and muffin). Usually I am intrigued by the weird fusions at CNE but they are not always appetizing but this one was.
I had the one with Apricot custard flavour. It was too sweet and gooey for my liking although I do respect the effort. I think the cruffin in itself was delicious and did not require stuffing. The staff is pretty efficient and I would come here again for coffee and an unstuffed cruffin if that's an option.

Nice cozy place. ( I like the cups hanging around but...well hope earthquakes never shoot London). Parking is limited in front but plenty in the back. Their main selling point is the waffles, you can make a personalized order too. The orange flavoured coffee is not sour and mix well, better than I expected.
