Since 1956, spanning over three generations, Wei's Western Wear has been an institution in Central Alberta. One of the longest standing independent family businesses in the region, we have withstood the test of time because we represent the values of Albertans; hard work, humility, and family. It is our tradition to continue offering our legendary selection of western and work wear with more than 50 brands to choose from.

Our story originates from humble beginnings. Wei Mah and his wife Moon, immigrated to Canada early in the 1950's. Wei was a skilled shoe and leather repair artisan. He apprenticed in Red Deer for a time before deciding to call the city home and start his own small repair shop.

Best western wear/work wear/boot store ever. Love coming here great prices and helpful staff. HUGE selection of vintage and modern western wear and boots. Used to work here in the 1990’s and it’s my all time favourite place to shop. From whatever decade you want your clothes from they probably have it in your size and colour!

Great customer service on the north end. I wouldn't reccomend getting your toe caps done here though. This is due to the quality of service I received after I purchased a $390 pair of work boots in which I asked them to put toe caps on ($60). What I received was 2 boots with sloppy toe caps. Nothing was even nor true. One boot had portions of leather peaking through where it met the sole. The other had some down on top of the sole but very inconsistently. When I brought them in to be fixed I was asked "why it mattered" and then told that they were "just work boots and that they were going to be

Best work wear store in town. They have every size imaginable. Good prices. Friendly staff. Have never not been able to get exactly what I needed.
Also a great western wear store.
Plus all the bulldogs wandering around I'd awesome.

Asked for a specific boot with a carbon fiber safety toe,Told me it was, got home and it was a steel toe boot.Did not have the boot in my size with carbon fiber toe and would not give my money back.Only credit or exchnge. $270.00 Been buying boots there for 15 years.Never again.

Great customer service , we were there this afternoon back to school shopping for jeans . They didn’t have the sizes that we need at the store we were at , but the great sales lady called their downtown location and did a check and had them brought up the location we were at . Top notch !!!! Really appreciated the extra effort . 😊👏

I was in the north store today for 2 pairs of pants, and since they didn't have one of the colors, they brought them up from the other store WHILE I WAITED! Took all of 5 min. I wish all businesses had this good a service .

I recently had a co-worker mention to me that she purchased high-visibility, Fire Retardant rain gear from Wei's and I had no idea that Wei's even sold safety workwear, let alone FR. It is so hard to find ladies FR work wear, specifically ladies FR jeans which I have been on the hunt for for a while now and Wei's has them! The ladies there were SO… helpful! Not only did they help me find ladies FR gear, they recommended other great pieces to try and if they didn't have my size in something they were happy to order-in my size.
