Happy Goat's first Honey Processed coffee! This medium roast from the Michiti farm and cooperative in the Keffa region of southwestern Ethiopia is bright and sparkling with a noticeable sweetness accentuated by rich plum flavours. Fantastic using any home brew method.
Our medium roast for Ethiopian naturally processed coffees releases a complexity of fruity notes; at the same time, the profile develops and keeps the natural sweetness of this rare coffee.Combined with its lingering aftertaste and its inherent "wild" character, the Bedhatu-Kumbi shows us the potential of this almost forgotten growing area in Ethiopia.

The classic Hario Skerton Coffee Grinder from Hario has a new upgrade. The new Skerton Plus stabilizes the ceramic burrs with a nifty little plate for a significantly more consistent grind. It's still high capacity so you can brew for everyone. A hand grinder has always been an essential part of any travel/work kit, and this is one of the best.
Large burlap coffee sack from our roastery warehouse, randomly selected from the coffees we source. Providing health & wellness services for all age groups; Wabano takes a holistic approach to supporting the wellbeing of individuals and communities.
Happy Goat Coffee Co. thrives on making your coffee experience as hassle-free as possible. That means despite our international network of sourcing, we maintain a short and transparent supply chain benefiting both farmers and customers alike. Joining one of our subscription plans means taking the stress out of mornings, giving you more time and energy to focus on what's important.
Our story began with one man, Pierre Richard. Pierre had a deep love for traditional, gourmet methods of roasting and brewing. A love that he began to share with local Ottawa residents by selling and roasting specialty coffees on-demand for a few loyal customers. With the help of our present-day owner Henry Assad, they created the Happy Goat Coffee Co. brand as we know it.

Friendly service and very tasty seasonal menu. I had the caramel hot chocolate, which was very smooth, at the perfect temperature, had right amount of sweetness. Good atmosphere overall.
Re covid: staff and coffee shop follow the required measures/procedures. Tables are distanced appropriately and proof of vaccination along with matching photo ID is required for dining in.

I'm a fan! Always good vibes, and excellent coffee. I just had my first gingerbread latte and it was epic. I would definitely go back just for that one treat. Lots of perfect outdoor seating in a really chill, quiet area. Pro tip: watch out for the parking nerd, because we got an $80 ticket for parking just ever so slightly in the wrong spot. On a little back road like that, you might think you're safe, but guess again! vaccine passport requirements come into affect on September 22.

I’m not much of a coffee person, but Happy Goat on Elgin is precisely my cup of tea. I visited today on my way home from a friend’s, and at first, I had no idea what I should order. Luckily, the barista was patient and helpful, and he was able to select the perfect drink for me- something light, sweet, and warm for a crisp autumn day. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, and a positive, welcoming atmosphere; it’s a place with great drinks and so matcha more (worth every toonie)!

Decent coffee shop. Nothing bad to say about the coffee and the donut I got, but the staff there was pretty unfriendly.
The staff taking the order was on the thin line of either being nice or rude. She greeted me friendly and told me to have a nice day, but when I asked few questions, she was short and flat, that I would have to ask her another question to fully get an answer to my question.
It seems that she wants to do the bare minimum customer service, but not more than the practical greeting.

This place is really hip and cool, especially in the summertime. However, when it comes to coffee, a latte from Starbucks tastes better IMHO. I suppose this place has an army of loyal customers, but to me, as a passing traveler from Toronto, their latter tasted too bitter. To each their own, I suppose.

I love everything about this place. I love the atmosphere, the friendly service, and especially the coffee. Even if you don't take your coffee black, I would suggest you try a few sips without anything in it.
I order either the normal or the iced coffee and enjoy the seating outdoors in the summer. It's a wonderful atmosphere here. I would also recommend their baked goods, the ginger cookie is one of my favourites there.
Anytime I meet another coffee lover, I buy a bag of Happy Goat Beans and make them into believers.

A hip coffee shop in a middle of a semi industrial district in Ottawa certainly blew my mind.
But the best coffee in town label was a definite seller. When you arrive to the front door you think that this is a warehouse and a coffee roasting "factory" rather than a coffee shop but in actuality it is both.
The door to the coffee shop is somewhat nondescript entry to what may seem to be an office in the warehouse but when you walk in you see a quiet place with tables and a sort of a "coffee bar" stand where you can order a cup to stay or go. We were there on a Sunday so I

Happy Goat is an excellent place to meet up with friends when you don't feel like going to a bar. The atmosphere here is industrial, but welcoming, with lots of good sized tables for groups. Not only do they have the best coffee in Ottawa, but they also have local kombucha in bottles and Ontario beers on tap. We didn't partake in any of the pastries, but I noticed a lot of people enjoying some good looking treats (they even had vegan options).
The people that work here could not be nicer. They forgot to put our order in, and when we reminded them, they gave us a card for a free drink

Without a doubt, I drank my best cup of coffee at Happy Goat. The barista made me a perfect latte. The taste was smooth and rich. It maintained the consistency as I drank all the way to the bottom. The microfoam was perfect and was used to make stellar latte art.

Favourite spot to grab a coffee and grab some great beans in Ottawa. I love the shop itself, which is in a cool almost-industrial location just outside both Little Italy and Hintonburg. In the summer, they open up the front so they have a patio with comfy chairs and a nice, open feel. In the winter they move it all in and keep it cozy.
Lattes, Americanos, and drip coffee are all solid. Haven't tried any of their teas or treats, but the offer some pastries and tea in addition to the coffee-based beverages. This is also the best selection of Happy Goat beans in the city - at least that I&apos

Another one of my favourite coffee spots in Ottawa!
Happy Goat are local roasters, and they also have a cozy store front.
I've been there many times to drink coffee and read, and I've picked up some awesome beans that I use at home from them.
The owner and staff and extremely knowledgeable about their beans and they have some unique methods for serving coffee that others don't have in town.
Highly recommended place, check it out, you won't regret it!
