Hotel rooms were nice but the pool was over concentrated with chorine. Our 2 kids got chemical burns on there legs and arms and can’t see. We had to flush them out with water and use eye drops. We talked to other couples with children and they were having the same problems. The front desk workers do seem to care about it.

We stayed here twice for one night each time, both times in a jacuzzi room. The first room we got was pretty decent and clean but the second room we stayed in was rough. We tried to get food from the attached restaurant 3 times but they weren't open during advertised hours, we even tried to call in an order before we arrived but they were closing 2 hours early. The room layout was awesome and the staff was great! It's the nicest place we've stayed in at Fernie, thus far and will continue to stay here. If we only stayed the first night, it would of been a 5 star review. (I didn't factor in the restaurant

Stayed at this hotel for a week. My child received chemical burns in her eyes from the pool. I tried to find an emergency eyewash station to rinse her eyes and it was empty and covered in dust. I had to call EMT and poison control. When I spoke to the GM about his unsafe work environment and high chemicals in the pool he accused me of being a bad mother and seeking out a discounted rate. He made me feel horrible and had no resolution to any of my issues claiming it was all may fault. That I should worry about my own child and not his employees, who were also clearly neglected. Probably best compared to the Best Western in town. In which case, Far more reasonable prices than the competition.
At this time the pool is open which is indoors, however the outdoor pool is closed due to covid. I don't really understand the logic on that one but it is what it is.
Bathrooms would benefit from a little extra counter space.

My family and I had an absolutely amazing experience at the Stanford Inn.
The room was comfortable, we all had a great sleep. We didn't get a chance to dine at the restaurant, but we picked up pizza from the Funky Goat in town (incredible pizza.)
Now to the most important part: the water slide. I simply can not overstate how fun this water slide is. The kids loved it, they must have gone down at least 15 times. Heck, we even took a turn! It was so, so fun. A definite highlight of our trip!
The next morning there was a wonderful breakfast, and the view of the mountains is breathtaking.

The service was over the top, Super clean room and the breakfast was a great touch. Great location if traveling and I can't begin to express the friendliness. I highly recommend the Stanford Resort to anyone. Definitely five star. Plus the pool was amazing! Definitely go here if you're needing a hotel in Fernie!

Happy to find a pet friendly hotel however, I feel like the hotel should warn the guests their basement rooms have no Air Conditioning and no bathroom fan. The room was pretty hot and humid after showers at night. Not super comfortable to sleep in during the summer. The hallway constantly and overwhelmingly smelled of weird food….The staff lunch room was also in the basement. Breakfast included was waffles, toast and boiled eggs. Room was fairly clean but overall not great for the money.

They put me in a damaged room and now charge me $200 double the price of the room for a rip screen that was ripped when I got there and it's very obviously ripped by a pet and I'm curious now how many people they have charged for this exact same screen is that why they don't replace it so that you can charge every person that comes in with a credit… card for the same damages even though it was brought to the attention to the front desk and I was told it was fine now I'm expected to pay $200 twice the price of the freaking room for a damaged screen that I highly doubt they even fixed and

Pool was packed with 50+ people. No distancing, no masks for the parents on deck watching their kids in their clothing. Packs of people on deck in their cloths drinking. Line halfway up the stairs with no distancing. Walking around the hotel hardly any guests wore their masks. We felt extremely unsafe and didn’t end up using the amenities. Nothing happening at this hotel adheres to COVID guildlines. Also, arrived for 4 pm check in and room wasn’t ready for over an hr.

My husband, 6 year old son and myself had a night away a few nights ago. We had the best time ! We dont have a bad thing to say about our stay! The food was amazing, the pool was a blast! The room was amazing...The view out our window was stunning. We will definitely stay again! Highly recommended by us!

Dirty rooms! We booked the Stanford in for the first time and we were extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the rooms. The first room we were booked into had food on the floors and a dirty toilet. We called the front desk and they were very apologetic and moved us to another room, at this point we were questioning our choice in hotels. The… second room we checked into had hair in and on the beds as well as dirty bedding… gross.
