Services
We provide mobile and walk-in support to people who are feeling overwhelmed, unable to cope, or who are experiencing a crisis. We offer someone who can listen and who can provide practical support such as helping replace lost health cards, linking to housing and income supports, referrals to counselling or addictions services, etc.
CMHA Elgin has a number of housing programs, both short- and long-term. The goal of the housing support program is to improve housing stability and safety for people with serious mental illness aged 16 or older who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or who are living in unsafe or unhealthy conditions.
We are pleased to provide training programs to groups in our community with a goal of enhancing individual wellness and a community's capacity to respond when people are experiencing a mental health crisis. In addition to delivering the training to specific interested groups who have invited us to present, we also offer CMHA-hosted training at various times in the year.
