We have used Countertops by Design three times previously with wonderful results so when we were redoing our bathroom we went back to this firm. Leah was a wonderful help and with her guidance made our choice in 10 minutes. The installation team arrived on a Friday night (delayed at another installation) after normal working hours and our new… quartz counter was put in place, the holes for plumbing done, all cleaned and and silicon sealed. If we ever do any further renovation that requires a counter Countertops by Design will be our first call!

Just had my counter replaced by this company and could not recommend them more. I got quotes from a bunch of places but I went back to them simply because they were the most friendly to talk to and had reasonable prices. I mostly dealt with Leah and she was amazing but everyone else was great too including the plumber the installers and the guy who… came to do the measurements. I was so appreciative that they worked around my schedule so I would not need to take a day off work. I am so happy with the end result. Overall I feel I paid a very good price and my kitchen is gorgeous!

We replaced our countertops. They were very helpful in the showroom when we were making our selection. The cute pup that belongs to a staff member was very nice and well behaved and we enjoyed some time giving him ear scratches and belly rubs.
The day of templating David was very kind, detail oriented and efficient.
We just had the countertops installed 2 days ago and I can't say enough about how happy we are with the results! I actually called today to relay how happy we were with David. He was kind and answered any questions we had and was very pleasant to deal with!

Working with Jessica on our laminate countertop project for our Laundry room and our quartz countertop and full height backsplash for our wet bar was very easy. She was professional and patient with us as we changed our minds a few times in the process. The template and installation crew were very professional and on time as well. We would highly recommend Countertops by Design and will use them for our bathroom and kitchen renovations next! Their prices are very competitive as I had called 4-5 other companies as well and they had the best price!! Highly recommend!

I worked with Riley to completely update our old kitchen and couldn't be happier with the results! She was there every step of the way to ensure measurements were accurate and all the finishes were exactly as I wanted. The price was very competitive for the quality of the cabinets and countertops. Despite this company being recommended, I found out the hard way once they have your money they don't care. Pre sales service was good, The installation was OK, there was a really poor join in the countertop the installer pointed out, but the hole for the cooktop wasn't big enough. When I tried to contact them it was a few days before xmas, so maybe there was an initial excuse, but it's now February and, apart from a brief, but promising, exchange with a member of staff, I still haven't heard back from the owners. We have had no choice but to rectify it ourselves at our own

Be very careful when ordering products from them. They take 50% of your payment up front and the other 50% before installation is complete. Amounts are added to your VISA without authorization. The sales staff is friendly at the outset, and the products appear to be good. Our granite counter was cracking within a week of delivery and was… installed crooked by 2 inches. A few kitchen contractors that we spoke to in the Barrie area have had similar issues over the past year. Countertops by Design does not stand behind their products if there are any defects and are completely non-responsive

I purchased a new custom granite countertop from Countertops by Design for our new custom home in Barrie. The sales staff was friendly and the product seemed to be of good quality. The installation was very poor and they subcontracted everything to a company called Latitudes. There are actual cracks throughout the entire counter, edges were not cut properly and everyone comments on the botched job. I have been trying to reach out to them for 8 months to fix the problems and Jody who is one of the owners has not returned any calls or messages. 3 kitchen companies in the Barrie area have refused

We recently renovated our kitchen and one bathroom and the granite countertops really added a touch of quality to the work. Made both rooms look like they were just built even though we live in a 30 year old house. The company did a great job getting the fit and finish too look great. Cant even see the seams. Friendly and clean service.
