My dog was taken to the emergency clinic late night as he could not breath. When I picked him up in the morning I could tell he was still in distress. I immediately brought him to see Dr. Ackerman and it turned out he was misdiagnosed at the emergency clinic and in fact was in heart failure. Rocky was treated immediately and after a few days of ultrasound, meds and love he is doing much better. He will be on heart Medication for the rest of his life but without the experience and knowledge of Dr. Ackerman he would have died. If I wanted someone to treat me that condescendingly, I'd go to a place where women have few to no rights.
If you even just like your pet, not love, please don't take them here. I love my dog and watching the vets rough treatment of him hurt both of us.

DO NOT GO HERE. This place is a scam. I brought my puppy here for shots and the dr. Told me he was too little for shots (this was proven false after I took him to two different vets for second and third opinions). He charged me an examination fee of $120 and didn’t check my puppy’s temp, heart rate, etc. He spent a whole hour explaining to me he knew best because he was writing a book. He sold me on fear that I needed $200 worth of puppy food that was “prescription “ which I now know to be a lie. DO MOT GO HERE

I made an appointment with this vet and nobody was there upon arrival. That alone was very unprofessional and disconcerting. On top of that, a lady saw me waiting outside and told me not to go here because she knows people with bad experiences — that was very alarming and I decided to go home. There are also other alarming reviews for this place. Thankfully I was not dealing with an emergency.

I've brought my pets here twice and have been extremely happy with this clinic! All staff I met here are very kind, professional, and knowledgeable.
The quality of care they provide for animals is high. Both times my pet rats needed immediate care - King West Veterinary Clinic accommodated prompt appointments and my rats received excellent veterinary care.

I don’t even know where to start.
I met Dr. Kent because we were in an emergency with our dog he was in a lot of pain a few months ago. He was so welcoming and his diagnosis was thorough and bang on. He gave us options of medication to assist in the healing that were able to save us some money with the same effects the other medications would have.
This was a few months ago. We have been back since and wish we have been here from the beginning. Dr. Kent is so knowledgeable, and has a great personality. My wife and I highly recommend this place to all our friends. We just recommended my father

For the past decade Dr. Kent has taken care of our beloved cat Eugene.
During that time he has survived crystals, a heart attack/stroke and cancer of the stomach.
We are thankful to still have him with us and that is in no small part due to Dr. Kent , his passion and his expertise.

Worst experience I've ever had with a so called professional. Paid for cremation with the explicit request to pick up my pets remains in 2 weeks. It's been 5 weeks and now Mr Ackerman is claiming I didn't pay enough and am remembering the transaction incorrectly. Forced me to pay cash the day of euthanasia and has never provided a receipt let alone providing me with my beloved pets remains. Avoid this place like it's infested with Covid 19. Better Business Bureau has been notified and I will be consulting with legal council on next steps.

Dr Kent took great care of my dog when she needed surgery. He walked me through step-by-step exactly what he was going to do, and options I could confirm. He is a little quirky, but his love for animals cannot be denied. He is incredibly passionate about animals, and if his personality/charisma rubs you the wrong way, then go somewhere else. You cannot deny his knowledge and experience!

I have been bringing my 2 dogs to Dr Kent for over 8 years. He has always been friendly and knowlegeable. He is always honest with what he thinks is the best course of treatment for our boys and he has never once steered us in the wrong direction. He has performed many many surgeries on my one dog who always seems to hurt himself. He has saved us money where and when he can. I would never take my animals to another clinic. HE IS THE BEST DR AND SURGEON IN THE CITY. Even during the COVID pandemic he shows nothing but love for the animals. I would recommend this clinic to anyone who cares about the
