Please note that the team will give you a heads-up courtesy call 15-20 minutes prior to arrival. YYC Junk works within the 2 hour time space booked online. If for example, your appointment is between 10:00 am and noon, the team may not arrive exactly at 10 o'clock on the dot. Give us a call if you would like to book an appointment for less than 24 hours in advance; that way we won't miss you!
Whether you're getting rid of a single coffee table, a garage full of junk, or clearing out an entire office tower, YYC Junk can help. Please note that while we will accept small quantities of heavy items, they may be subject to a weight surcharge. If the crew finds hazardous materials in with any junk, the load will be subject to additional charges.

I hired YYC junk to help me clear our my grandparents house after they moved. They were really friendly and responsive answering all my questions. When they arrived they admitted that it was a bigger job then they expected. They got to work and got 85% of the stuff loaded and then offered to come back the next day and finish which was extremely appreciated. Would recommend for sure!

I would have given a zero star if I could. So I booked online, got a phone call a few days later confirming the booking. However, the day of pickup they didn’t show up. No call, no show. Just wasted my time , so now I have to make other arrangements with a deadline looming. Really bad service- I’m so disappointed. I’m stressed enough right now and didn’t need this.

I recently hired these guys to remove a large sectional from my place. Simon and his team had to take the couch down the stairs because the awkward shaped pieces didn’t fit in my building’s elevator. They got it out of there quickly and made it look easy. To top things off they allow you to pay by etransfer, debit, credit or cash. 10/10 would hire again. Good job guys!

My brother passed away and I am located in a different province. Due to COVID it was not feasible for myself to collect personal items from his apartment. We called 4 estate cleanup agencies and this is the only one to call back. The owner was polite and sympathetic to my needs. He made arrangements with myself and landlord to get access to the apartment. He also use virtual communication so I could see what items I would like and he shipped these items to me. Very good communication throughout the whole process. Made a difficult situation better.

This was my first experience with YYC Junk and I was pleasantly surprised. I had an old mattress sitting in the entranceway to my home that was blocking everything. I don’t have a vehicle so I couldn’t take it to be recycled on my own and leaving it for garbage pickup wasn’t an option. I had to get it gone! So I kind of did the Google version of close your eyes and pick a company. I landed on YYC Junk and it was the best choice I could have made, I sent them an email on Sunday night, told them what I needed to get rid of and heard from them on Monday morning. They were a pleasure to deal

I used YYCJunk to clear out my mom’s home. The house had been sold so I flew into Calgary on a tight schedule. Simon showed up when he said he would and he worked tirelessly for almost two days to clear out the home. There was so much more stuff than I remembered but Simon approached it with such a positive attitude. This was a difficult time for me and Simon made me laugh more than once, which I so appreciated! To top it all off, Simon returned some cash that my mom had hidden behind a dresser drawer - big surprise for me! It is so refreshing to see there are still some honest people around

I had a great experience with YYC Junk. I had a few pieces of furniture I was looking to unload and I was drawn to this company because of their donation focused approach to 'junk'. The online booking system was straight forward and Kristine was so kind and accommodating with my schedule. I have used this company several times and I highly recommend them. The first time we used them, my elderly father had recently passed and we were moving my mother to a care facility. The girl on the phone was extremely helpful and walked me through the process of how they go about working in a downsizing situation. The crew that came were very friendly and professional. While they definitely have a few bumps to smooth out in their scheduling system, the owner himself came to my house when they were short on staff. I really appreciated their follow-up and senses of humor. The "two Johns" came to my house... haha the hilarity that ensued!
At first I was kind of confused as to why they don't give final quotes over the phone, only estimates. But y'know... honestly it really is better that way, since they get to see your crap before they tell you the price. The girl explained it to me this way: a fridge

Called YYC Junk to remove two old freezers, (from my Mom's garage) quoted $133-170 for both (50 yrs +, so they were heavy), but these were in the garage, and they guys had to move them maybe 10 ' to load on their truck. The first time they came (2 hours late), they said "Oh , there's no way we have room for these". we'll come back another time. The office called to arrange for pick up for the next morning, they showed up (late again), ended up charging $200 to remove two freezers.
