At Karateristics not only do we provide custom designs in rings, prendants, earring and more, but we also do repair work, ring sizings, pearl stringing, bead work, and watch batteries. All done on site! Karateristics was founded in 1995 by the sole owner Douglas Andrews. Doug started his career with a Fine Arts Education background before attending a Goldsmith school in Vernon, B.C.
After completing his degree in 1988, he moved to Kamloops where he completed his three year apprentice with Designs In Gold. He stayed on for eight years with them before its closing in 1994. We promise to treat our customers with the honesty and respect they deserve. We pride ourselves on the quality of our jewelry and we want clients to feel the same pride when wearing the glimmering pieces from our store.

Best jeweler in Kamloops. He is friendly, knowledgable and extremely talented. Two of my favourite pieces from his store are a bracelet bangle
(from 2003) and a ring from 2010. They sre still in immaculate condition. Recently my fiance took my engagement in to be resized. Doug was prompt and had my ring fit to a perfect size. I highly recommend karateristics.

Doug made a really nice diamond wedding ring for my wife 5 years ago. My wife was really happy with special designed beautiful ring. 5 years later I called Doug and asked him if he could help with surprising my wife with an additional ring for 5th anniversary. Doug again made a beautiful ring that fits perfectly with the 1st ring. Dougs great work, knowledge and great acting skills to surprise wife are wonderful. Thanks for the beautiful work Doug.
