This leather working workshop is designed to teach classic hand sewing techniques. Chuck Allen, the skilled craftsman behind Earth and Hide, will guide you through the steps of working with leather including punching, hand sewing, riveting, snap setting, and caring for your finished item. Students will have use of leather working tools and will be guided through the process from hide to finished product.

To be the artistic hub of the community, providing an inclusive environment where all people can experience, learn, create, and celebrate the arts. Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment is dedicated to teaching, sharing, and celebrating artistic expression for Portage and district through programs, performances, and exhibitions in a welcoming, supportive community environment.
Our events bring the community together to celebrate the arts through concerts, theatrical and dance performances. Prairie Fusion is home to the Glesby theatre, an events venue equipped with state-of-the-art sound system, performance lighting, and stage. As a registered charity, we fundraise throughout the year through a variety of events, all proceeds go back into our extensive art programming.
In partnership with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) Film Circuit, and Prairie City Cinema our Reel Event in 2020 featured the very best of Canadian and world cinema. As one of only five Manitoba locations offering the TIFF experience, the Reel Event provides local and regional film enthusiasts with the big screen experience that these major film-works demand.

The Central Region Juried Art Exhibit is open to artists and artisans of all levels aged 15 years or older who are residents of the Central Region.
If selected, the Exhibitor(s) WILL be required to read and sign a formal Exhibition Contract that will detail hanging requirements, set up/take down dates and times, receptions dates, and all other exhibition related processes.
