ASK computers came highly recommended in a community facebook group in East York. And what can I say -- they were right. I brought down my computer to them, which had been operating very slowly and there were other little problems with it. Not only did they fix it in a very fast and timely manner but I was blown away at the cost and how low it was compared to a computer repair store in East York. The two gentlemen were very patient and very nice people to be with. Not everyone is a techie and they had no problems spending more time with me to explain things. Thank you so much to ASK Computers

Having worked for other repair stores myself, I cannot recommend ASK highly enough. I damaged something on my phone during a battery replacement and emailed a number of Toronto businesses for inputs and quotes. ASK responded promptly with a reasonable quote based on their expected repair, and had me bring in the phone. In person, the fix was determined to be simpler than expected and was done on the spot while I waited, for half the quoted price.

Max and his Team were absolutely AMAZING!! They were super helpful in getting my computer fixed!! Max was very thorough with his care and took the time to explain issues to me. The service was also super fast and price was very reasonable!! We run a business that required fixing our company computer quickly!! First time I ever forgot I had my phone in my pocket and jumped in the pool.
Devastated I tried a couple of places to no avail.
Here I had it restored to functionality and was able to get back every piece of data.
The phone itself is still usable but the recovery of all information and access to my accounts was priceless.

Initially went to the Eaton Apple store to see their “Geniuses” was greeted with a new hire still in training working with their training buddy. After their diagnoses(essentially plugging the phone to see if it charged) they informed me I needed to replace my iPhone 8 with no hope of data recovery.

Super nice. Super customer service. They went beyond what I normally expect from repair companies. They were polite and patient, dealt with issues other people wouldn't. When asked for a timeframe, they gave me one. When I checked in on the repair, they had to keep it longer waiting on a part. All realistic expectations given it was an older phone and not current technology. I didn't get a repaired phone because the technology failed, but these guys did everything they could. Full marks. I'm going back if I ever need their help again. Now I have a "go to" place for tech

Brought my computer in on Tuesday for a tune up. Got it back on Wednesday and it is a like having a new computer. it is now running quickly and all my data appears to have been copied to the new hard drive they installed. Staff were professional and courteous. I am very pleased with the service and will recommend them to anyone requiring phone or computer repairs.

I took my Macbook Pro for a display exchange here a year ago. Originally, I thought the problem was fixed with a completely new display. I paid $600 for it. A year later, the exchanged display started showing flickering lines.
I took it to an Apple-certified repair shop this time. They ran diagnostic testing and found out that my computer is tampered; the orientation of the installment is wrong/not in the way Apple defines; some cowling and screws were missing inside.

They say third time is a charm. It really was in my case. I had a broken screen on iPhone 8+, Apple denied the repair because my side lock button wasn't passing the diagnostic check. On a whim, I went to pacific mall and got the screen replaced for a very low cost. The quality was terrible and I went to another random kiosk in the mall the next day. Still terrible. I was ready to buy an entire new phone. Taking photos is very important to me and the resolution and quality I was given both times was terrible. Max saved me a fortune! I walked in convinced ( my self mis diagnoses of the issue ) that I needed a major repair, broken power jack. Max could easily have fleeced me and ripped me off. Instead, he and his team took the time to assess the problem and determined I only needed a new power supply! Even though he could not offer me one for sale, he did not charge me a penny for his very valuable time ! Amazing !

Ask Computer is, without reservation, the place to go!!!
I had the battery on my laptop replaced here 3 weeks ago. I contacted via email in the morning inquiring about pricing and how long it would take to have the battery replaced, bearing in mind the time it would take to order the battery for my MacBook Pro with Retina display, and then to replace it. I received a response 15 minutes later and was informed that it would cost 169$ and could be fixed the same day and picked up by 3:00pm.
I couldn't believe how reasonable the price was and the fact that everything could be done that same

I rarely leave any reviews but had to write about my great experience. I had salt water damage on my iPhone X and two repair shops said nothing could be done about my phone and data recovery was impossible. Ask Computers was able to take apart the logic board which is made up of 2 parts and was able to pair it and recover the data. Even after doing so, it was highly unstable and the phone kept turning off before a full recovery could be done. But after a week of work, they were able to fully recover my data! This place can do things other repair shops cannot. I would highly recommend their

Great experience. I thought I had screwed up my motherboard or cpu. He tested all the hardware. Found the problem. I felt like he wanted to make sure he tested everything to make sure he diagnosed the problem properly . He gave me updates via texts as they happen. I'm a bit of a gamer , tested the unit , and it ran flawlessly , it used to fezze or shut down. Thanks again guys keep up the good work.

Went to see Mani and his brother about repairing my Thinkpad laptop last week. I had the 'blue screen of death' pop up several times crashing the computer several times in the last few weeks.
Ask Computers determined the issue was the hard drive needed to be replaced. They quoted what I felt was a reasonable price for a new drive and labour to transfer all my old data. If I could give Ask Computers 6 stars, I would!!
Some context for the issue:
I spilled tea onto the keyboard area of my MacBook Air one morning. It was still on (yikes)... I saw the screen flicker until it turned off completely. Panicking, I turned it upside down to try to get more of the liquid out of it and left it for about an hour. I didn't think I spilled too much but I guess I was wrong.
Then I took it to the Apple store (3 hours after the initial spill because I had to wait about 1.5 hours for my genius appointment). Though I had Apple Care, it only covers manufacturers' defects

I've owned and broken my apple electronics for nearly 10 years now and I've never ventured out of apple genius bar for my repairs, even when my macbook was out of warranty.
On Thursday night I spilled water all over my trackpad, and on Friday afternoon I went to the Genius bar. They said that my entire logic board needed to be replaced, and that it would be $630 (incl tax) and would take 7-10 business days. I had an exam on Monday so that was a huge no, and dropped by ASK Computers. They finished the repair in 2 hours and I paid $280 (incl tax).
The only downside to all of this is that

Great services and a reasonable quote. I was visiting Toronto and accidentally liquid-damaged my iPhone. I went to the Genius Bar first but was suggested buying a replacement for 300 dollars. I didn't want to replace that old model with a same one. So I tried Ask and I needed it to be fixed within the same day coz my flight was scheduled to depart in two days and I had other place to be the next day. Knowing my situations, they miraculously made it with no extra charge! It's been a week since, and my iPhone is still working great. No complaints. Thanks! Great help!

Went there last night to have my Macbook Pro's battery replaced and it's spectacular. First, it's cheap. Cheaper than Apple store. Second, they are honest and knowledgeable. They diagnosed my machine first before before doing something. I have another Macbook Pro that I thought needed a RAM upgrade because the app store icons aren't show but they said it was necessary - honest alert.
And also, they have tons of other stuff - cellphone accessories, computer paraphernalia and even laptops. Move over Pacific Mall. This should be everyone's go to place in downtown Toronto

Smashed my iphone screen... First time in many years of owning iPhones. I got 3 quotes and this was the cheapest (in fact it was half the price of what irepair quote!)
Things seem to be as good as new now.
Only complaint was that I had to leave the phone there all day... I thjnk because the guy who works on the iPhone repair wasn't at the store till late that day. But based on other reviews this may be a one off
