Inspired Minds Music is a warm, comfortable and inviting school which is large enough to offer a wide variety of programs, but small enough to ensure we have a personal connection with all of our students and their families. We offer programs for students of all ages (from preschoolers to retirees!) and skill levels.
Learning to play with proper technique can be the primary difference between students who remains dedicated to learning an instrument and students who pursue other activities. When technique is neglected students often reach plateaus, struggle to perform the repertoire they enjoy and lose their motivation.
We offer the most cost-effective and value driven lessons among music schools in Kingston. When you register for lessons, just pay a deposit (equal to one month of lessons) to hold your spot. This will be converted into 4 Credits which can be used for lessons in July & August. Inspired Minds follows the Limestone District Schoolboard for holidays and closures (excluding PD Days and Weather.)
When you take private music lessons, the experience becomes yours and yours alone. With the right teacher, your lessons will be customized to best fit your learning style and interests. Her is how our teachers do this? Your teacher works with you on a weekly basis and as we get to know you, your musical abilities, and learning style; each lesson will be uniquely designed to challenge your skill level and knowledge.
Group lessons change the learning dynamic from 1:1 to 4:1. This makes the classroom far less intimidating, and encourages students to participate openly, and energetically! There is also more TIME for fun! It is great to be able to mix learning songs, theory, technique and all of our 12 Components with our library of educational games.

My son has been taking guitar lessons here for 2 years. He has thoroughly enjoyed his experience and improved so much. Nic is a great teacher. I love that they regularly have recitals so that the kids have something to work towards and they get to show off how much they have improved and build up their confidence in performing!

My daughters wanted to learn to play the guitar. After contacting Aimee at Inspired Minds, she gave us a free trial and was so helpful in accommodating our hectic schedule. We started in March of last year and by June, my girls had learned to play a song. Lane was an excellent teacher and anyone we came in contact with at Inspired Minds was friendly and positive! I would highly recommend Inspired Minds if you’re looking for music lessons!!

My son has been a piano student of Tristan's for just under a year, first half in group, and since September in private. Each lesson, they both come out laughing and joking and having a great time. Tristan has really taken the time to get to know my son and the best method's to teach him with. Arranging make up lessons or cancellations is quick and… easy, and the multiple ways to make payments make it super simple to ensure that they are paid, and the rates are by far the most affordable within a 45 minute radius. Tristan is a very talented and inspiring musician and vocal coach. His friendly and easy-going demeaner made his vocal lessons a highlight of my week. His vocal training and confidence in his students definitely made me a better musician and boosted my own confidence in myself. Truely a memorable experience :).

We found Inspired Minds Music last year and immediately felt at home. Tristan and his colleagues are amazing and my daughter has learned so much in the past 10 months. Not only about playing piano but also about reading music, notes, and hard work. The group lesson format is perfect to keep her motivated! My son started private guitar lessons in… September and I’m so impressed with his learning as well. Possibly the highlight though was the recent recital where I watched both my children shine in the spotlight. I would recommend Inspired Minds to anyone and look forward to our future

In January, I came to Tristan with no experience in music. I had asked him to teach me one song as a Valentine's Day present. He was able to teach me how to play guitar, and sing this one song in 3 lessons, and he continued to show me how to play other songs. It was an incredible experience, and it continues to amaze me that Tristan had me performance ready in 3 lessons. I highly recommend Tristan for any music learning experience. He not only taught me how to play music, but opened the door to an outlet I didn't know I was capable of attaining.

My daughter took group piano lessons at Inspired Minds last year. I was so surprised with how excited she was to go to each lesson and how energised she was after each class. The classes are always well planned and full of energy. I didn't know what to expect when we enrolled her, but I am so glad we did!
