Williams Lake Youth Soccer
The Williams Lake Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit organization is organized run almost entirely by volunteers. For the 2018 season, the WLYSA had nearly 1000 soccer players between the ages of 4 and 18 taking part in the sport. We believe that organized sports are essential for the physical, mental and social development of youth.
Services
Beginning in Williams Lake, take Chicotin-Bella Coola Highway 20 leaving Williams Lake. You will pass the first exit onto Hodgson Road and continue on the highway for the second entrance. Turn right onto the second entrance of Hodgson Road. Follow Hodgson Road, then take a right onto Wilkie Road. The Esler Soccer Fields will be on the right hand side.
Our house programs continues to provide fun opportunities to participate in the sport of soccer whilst learning the basics of the game. Our younger players have the opportunity to play twice a week and get lots of touches on the ball to give them all the best chance to improve as soccer players. Our club values are represented by our house league coaches who provide a safe and fun learning environment for all of our players.
As per BC Soccer and viaSport Return to Play Guidelines, we will only be accepting Online Registrations paid by credit card or e-transfer. All online registrations are subject to a 4% admin/convenience fee to assist WLYSA in covering the costs of the credit card fees. We are accepting Jumpstart and KidSport payments for the 2021 Fall Outdoor Season.
Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) is a CSA soccer-specific adaptation of the Long-Term Athlete Development model (LTAD) developed by Canadian Sport Centres. LTAD is a scientific model for periodized athlete training and development that respects and utilizes the natural stages of physical, mental, and emotional growth in athletes.
The courses are made up of various modules to help you become more knowledgeable at the age specific stages of development that you coach. Work at your own pace to complete these modules which may only take about 60-90 minutes in total to finish the entire course.

To receive full certification credit, all coaches are required to successfully complete the online theory component (part 1) as a pre-requisite first before being able to register for the practical on-field component (part 2).Once both parts have been completed, you will receive certification credit for the respective level.
