Oxygen therapy is a drug that must be prescribed by a Physician or Nurse Practitioner. If the clients meet the governments medical eligibility criteria, they will receive 75-100% of their oxygen funded through the Home Oxygen Program in Ontario. Oxygen can be prescribed for short term or long term need.
Many of us may take for granted the feeling of being rested and refreshed after a good night's sleep but for so many this is not the case. Our bodies require regular uninterrupted sleep sessions in order to allow optimal awake functions such as driving a vehicle, performing a job, and enjoying routine life activities.
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure or CPAP (pronounced sea-pap), is considered the gold standard treatment for the symptomatic relief of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Through a small airflow generating machine, pressurized air is delivered to the nose or face through a mask-like interface to act as a splint to keep the upper airway open.

I have recently been prescribed a new CPAP machine. My sleep remains a challenge and I am hopeful that things will change for the better. I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Dawn for her exceptional client service. From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted by Dawn in a very friendly manner. I was a bit anxious but Dawn quickly diminished my anxiety. She is not only professional and knowledgeable, but also accommodating in meeting the needs of her client. Dawn and Homecare Oxygen Supply definitely a 5 star!
Sincerely,
Sara Myers
