Jared has worked at Last Door Recovery Society for over a decade, beginning as a Client Care Worker, then as an Addictions Counselor, Adult Program Manager and was recently as appointed Executive Director after a nine month tenure as Acting Executive Director.

My husband entered the last door just under a year ago , he was desperate and new he was no longer able to manage his life, on the verge of losing everything. Addiction had been the center of our arguments and as time went on it only got stronger. Today I am so proud to be his wife , The last door is where my husband found purpose , connection and a community, he has made life long friendships here and stays in touch with people daily, they have become like family. I am so thankful my husband was able to find this program and will always be so thankful for the journey he took that brought us here

The Last Door really works. Their social model helps clients build a solid foundation for recovery for the long term, not just for their treatment stay because it helps create and support quality relationships. All the staff are amazing, and comitted to really helping their clients. Not only does treatment at the Last Door get men into solid, quality recovery, it helps them awaken their spirit, and motivates them to stay clean because recovery is fun! Nothing but good things to say about the Last door treatment centre. Where do you start. This place saved my life and introduced me to a community of people living and doing recovery. They showed me a new way of life. The staff and facilities are very nice, amazing food is served daily. I stayed at the last door for 4 months in the end of 2016 and into 2017. Iam still clean and happy they teach the guys skills on how to live and get through any situation clean. I'd highly recommend this place for anyone seeking help or seeking help for a loved one. Last Door Recovery Center is a great male center with wonderful staff, colleagues, clients and alumni. This place is perfect for getting and staying clean and learning to grow and change to a life that is worth living. I've done treatment before and nothing can compare to the compassion, the energy, the unity and support that everyone brings to helping myself get well, but also allowing me to help others. Without The Last Door, I would not have the life I live today. A life filled with love, joy and happiness. I'm nearing a decade clean and its all because of THE LAST DOOR 💓

The last door is an amazing facility with an amazing staff and principals. On Feb.18 2009 I finally decided I needed help and my mom found the last door and though at times I fought it. The last door and the community saved my life. I will be 10years clean on the 19th and was only 18 when I went to the youth door. This place is amazing for youth giving us a new chance at life. Thank you for teaching me how to live and a proper set of principals to live by. If you or a loved one needs help this is the place I would always recommend!

A number of years ago my son and I looked for a place where he could recover. I had already lost one son to addiction, and to lose another was unthinkable. The night before signing into The Last Door, my son and I attended a meeting at a New Westminster church, and I was overwhelmed by the huge number of people affected by addiction. The time I spent at The Last Door was an important part of my Journey on the road to recovery. The empathy, compassion and professionalism of the staff was very helpful. They taught me the importance of connection and community while working through addiction. I am very grateful for the love and support I received while there and for the continuation of love and support in the years since I left.

In my observation Dave and Louise, founders of the Last Door, have thoroughly succeed at developing an amazing community approach to recovery. I have seen the transformation of many men at the Last Door; connecting to world/community, finding purpose and meaning, and contributing to greater good. The Last Door invites the family to be a part of the healing, facilitating men to become better fathers, sons, employees.. helping family and supports heal together. Utmost respect for the work done by Last Door. I've seen so many guys recovering from their addiction for continuous multiple years. They seem to have the magic touch that works for so many. With group, one on one counseling, 12 steps, respect, good food and lots of love and laughter it works! My step son went through the Last Door is 16 years clean, and my son just celebrated 4 years. I would highly recommend anyone that is struggling with substance abuse to go to the Last Door to get their life back on track. I feel privileged to be a part of the New West recovery community, where I am constantly inspired by the miracle of recovery working in people's lives. The Last Door facilitates a program that provokes change in men which makes recovery look attractive.
