I represented the company I work for in the purchase of a new Hughes Craft from Sherwood Marine. Everything about the sales process was perfect, including Gordie, who helped me every step of the way. As I use the boat every day for work, it was important that I get exactly what I needed, and I did. Excellent, friendly and knowledgeable staff. A great experience.

Had two motor swapped between two boats. The Final price was 2 times there original estimate.
I took by boat back there for 4 simple repairs and service (big mistake).
They had it for a month and only said they had completed 2 of 4 tasks.
They lied about having completed one of the repairs and when I showed up to get my boat and do the work myself I found out that the work they claimed to have done was not done yet. I took my boat back and will never go there for service again.
I had bought my 70,000 boat there. This is how the treat there returning customers.
I still had not learned my lesson

Unfortunately I did not have a very good first experience with this company and would recommend you explore the alternatives with your business. The salesman I dealt with appears to be simply collecting a pay cheque and tried to do an "up sell"with me He lacked product knowledge, had no customer service skills, wouldn't check with suppliers, had no alternatives to suggest and really didn't seem to give two @#$%s about the customer. The staff at the service center were extremely busy but polite and helpful. In the end they were unable to assist me with the original problem without it costing thousands

Coming over by Ferry from Mayne Island its important to get good service and they always seem to have any parts we need in stock or within days. I highly recommend.

One of the worst business I have ever dealt with. Barry is so dishonest. We purchased a Suzuki engine there. The engine did not run right from the beginning and they kept blaming us... stating we did not know how to operate, then Barry stated it was not meant for off shore , what a joke. After 2 years of back and forth and horrible service we took our boat to another dealer. Instantly the other dealer stated it was a bad install and the motor was installed too low on the transom causing it to ingest water. The other deal re installed and zero issues WOW. We called Barry and told him what had happened

The folks at Sherwood provide top notch service! We recently had been treated very horribly at another marine shop in Duncan, where we live. They could not have botched things more badly. We were at our wits end and decided to take our boat to Sherwood hoping they may be able to help us. They went above and beyond to help us fix the other companies mistakes to make things right again. Now our boat is back to her old self and we couldn't be more thrilled. Can't say enough good things about the staff at Sherwood Marine, thank you all so very much!!

Gordie at Sherwood Marine has made our boat purchase experience very pleasant. We tried dealing with 2 other Hewscraft dealers and it is our opinion that their knowledge of boats in general is lower than Gordie's. We drove from the lower mainland to the Island because he treated us right. Straight up. Honest. Bottom line we would highly recommend sherwood marine for your hewscraft boat purchase. You get what you are promised on time without any bull like the others. They live up to thier word...and wont waste your time.
