In the spring of 1967 the four founding partners, Gordon Davis, Ron Connelly, Al Kapty & Chuck Hankins established Trans North Turbo Air. Helicopters were the core of the business but the operation of fixed-wing aircraft made up a significant part of the fleet for the first 20 years. Trans North proceeded to establish operational bases in Dawson City, Haines Junction, Watson Lake, Ross River, Carmacks & Mayo.
Jump forward to todays date and Trans North is still building on this legacy with a diverse fleet and top tier maintenance. Trans North carries a wealth of experience within our flight crew which includes extensive local knowledge, mountain experience, and precision longline skills. Our head office in Whitehorse is one of five strategically located bases to serve you better while minimizing non-productive positioning costs.
