Dr. Kewish graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1995 and practiced as a small animal clinician for 6 years in Ontario and Oklahoma. She then pursued graduate studies in clinical pathology at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, becoming a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists in 2005.

Dr. Kate Kewish is a complete quack and should be ashamed to call herself a vet. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
I took my dog here in 2017 and they gave me a prescription of allergy medication, since they prescribed to me before and my regular vet was unexpectedly closed for the Christmas break, i thought maybe my poor suffering senior dog who needs this medication for his skin would be given a new prescription of pills. I had all my most recent vet records sent to her from the last 3-4 years which showed multiple prescriptions of this allergy medication. When I arrived with my dog who was CLEARLY

My initial comments for Ellerslie pet hospital were good. ". Sadly when we last got grooming done there, my dog was cut in the stomach area. We noticed it the next day and went back to the clinic to show them the cut. They brushed it off claiming it to be dermatitis. We ended up spending money on getting it treated with our own vet. When I called Doug the owner, he first was polite and respectful and said would look into this. Upon following up with him, he basically refuses to admit that his staff were at fault. I have been coming here for over 2 years with my dog Lucy. We're always treated well and everyone is always friendly and excited to greet us at the front entrance. The vets always explain everything well and don't push anything that's not explicitly recommended. Any time we've had issues they have always been able to get us in same or next day for a look, or offer advice over the phone. The groomer here is also fantastic and highly recommended, although you do need to book well in advance because she's so busy.

Called in on a Sunday for my dog, Mango, who had an unexpected (what felt like an emergency) medical issue. The girls at the front were super helpful and accommodating. It turned out to be an problem that the vet (Dr. Kewish) needed to intervene in, but they didn't hesitate to take her despite their busy day. They provided an initial estimate for cost before we left her with them, which was greatly appreciated. Upon discharge, Dr Kewish was thorough in her explanation of the problem, the treatment they provided, as well as aftercare. She answered all the questions I had, and was super friendly

5 stars for the kind receptionist who helped me today :) I did not bring my pet to this vet. I was just picking up some renal care pet food. Unfortunately one of the cats in the household has renal problems and the other is allergic to chicken and beef. Alana was amazing with going over all the food with me and giving me more options that would be a little more affordable.

This pet hospital is the BEST in Edmonton. Have dealt with few and seems like they either rush or overcharge plus I don’t get piece of mind. But when I went in this clinic omg they are awesome, great with fur babies , no rushing, or talking fast so you don’t understand. They actually explain things more detail and try helping as much as they can. They charges are legit and not like crazy expensive. I had such a good experience that I always recommend them to everyone. You ll have piece of mind I promise you.

The owner and staff at Ellerslie Pet Hospital went above and beyond for me when I unfortunately had to euthanize my beloved dog.

Incredible vets! Everyone is so kind & has amazing customer service. I’ve been going there for about a year and a half and today I took my cat to get neutered. My cat had a couple bowel problems after where I had to call the vet 3 separate times, and they were so informative and patient. They did not care how many questions I had for them or how… many times I had to call. You can tell they genuinely care about the pets and the owners are some of the nicest people I’ve met.

Nothing but amazing things to say about this place ! They are very welcoming and were amazing with my little girl, she had to get some dental surgery and they were amazing ! They gave me a quote and went through everything with me before I booked, after I booked and were awesome with giving me after care. Got tons of updates throughout the day and even got a call from them the next morning making sure she was okay throughout the night. Amazing staff and service !

They are amazing here. My cat needed dental surgery and took the time to explain her procedure as well went over my quote and stayed with in the quote. They are very informative and listen to your concerns. I had nothing but good experiences here and will continue to bring my cats here as well definitely recommend Ellerslie pet hospital.

I was super impressed with this place! I took my sweet dog here with a puffy eye and they knew right away it was a tooth abscess and got her on meds and into surgery within a few days (usually good to have the antibiotics for a few days first).
They even let me "fly by" the next day to have a quick look when I was worried about the swelling and when they saw her, they bumped up her surgery a day as it was pretty awful and we didn't want to wait the few days of antibiotics.

This place is amazing. They truly care about your animals. They treat them like their own. The compassion and love they have for our family blew me away. I will never go anywhere else. I have two cats that I bring to Ellerslie Pet Hospital and every time I go in I'm happy with the experience. Dr. Mandrusiak is extremely knowledgeable and professional. He thoroughly explains everything that is going on and answers all of my questions, both when I am there and when I call in with a concern. The staff is always smiling, happy, and friendly. About a week after you bring your pet in to see them, they call you to ask how your pet is doing since the last visit. I feel that everything is reasonably priced, from products to services. I have been taking my Schnorkie (Schnauzer Yorkie) here since his initial set of shots 3 years ago. During our first visit we met with the office manager who took us on a tour of the facility, we got to see the emergency room, treatment areas, xray lab and so on. It was very cool to see, and something I have not been able to experience at other vet offices. Any staff I have dealt with from the receptionist, to nurses to the actual vet are always friendly and helpful. Took my dog here for the first time a few weeks ago because he was sick. Our other vet we went to wouldn't touch our dog or pet him. This vet place was WONDERFUL. They acknowledged him and pet him even though he looks a bit scary. They even called us several times after when I had questions and see how he was doing. Highly recommend.

My experience here was absolutely amazing! Everyone was so nice and helpful. I absolutely trusted the vet and know that they have my pet's best interest at heart.
They were so kind...I would go into detail about how helpful they were, but I took my dog there (English bulldog) because her tummy was bothering her for a few days...so you can imagine the mess, and the people there still were so loving.
Thank you so much for properly taking care of my dog, and not over charging either!

We picked this vet for our goldendoodle puppy based on reading various reviews, and we have been very pleased!
The reception staff are always very friendly and professional. Our puppy doesn't mind coming to the vet because of the treats and love she gets from the reception staff and vets themselves. After our very first visit, we were sent a very cute welcome card which was signed by staff and our vet in the mail, which I thought was a really nice touch.
I really appreciate that they are open 7 days a week, and have after 5 pm appointments available. They are also great at touching base

Unlike every other vet that I've been to in Edmonton for the past 15 yrs., they actually seem to have their hearts in the right place! The staff is friendly, smart and all seem to like their place of work & are happy. Knowledgeable, honest, straightforward docs, we love this place and highly recommend them to everyone!!

My wife and I moved to Edmonton from Toronto, precisely a year ago. We brought with us our dog, Cricket, a Boston Terrier/French Bulldog mix. She is now two years old, however for an entire year we fought a never-ending battle. When we got her she was diagnosed with giardia, so we worked on that with a special brand of food to firm up her stool. Soon after she had an ear infection, which we got medication
