Steinbach's first automobile dealership was established in 1914. As car sales increased in the 1950s, the Steinbach dealers began promoting themselves and soon Steinbach became known as "The Automobile City". By the 1990's, Steinbach was known throughout Manitoba and the surrounding provinces as THE place to buy a vehicle.

Today Steinbach is a desirable destination for both local and Winnipeg shoppers, and gives the younger generation a sense of the same local small town values that would have served their grandparents many generations ago.
